Any car can be a mans car, as long as its not pink. What facts that you couldn't look up yourself, support if its a girly car or not? Its all about perception. All you'll get is opinions. Some people think they are, some don't. Past Jettas were considered girly, but the redesigned model isn't quite as "cute" as the old one. The only important thing is you need to have at least one day a week when you can be in the waiting room while your car is being fixed. If a guy's driving a Jetta, it's that guys car. If a chicks driving a Jetta, it's that chicks car. I'm secure enough that I'd have no problem driving a New Beetle convertible, are you? The great thing about vw is they don't target a specific gender. They generally target the outdoorsy adventurous fun loving type of people. I don't particularily like the way the new jettas look, and in my opinion they look more girly than before.. I was behind the wheel it would look manly as the car takes the personality of its driver. As long as its not pink with daisies painted on it.

A lot of people will say that vws aren't reliable, but as far as my experience goes with them.. I've never had a problem in 160k miles on my 2003 golf aside from frequently changing bulbs cuz they tend to go out more than any other car I know of. But they're fun to drive and its a small price to pay. Any car is reliable as long as you don't drive like a dooshbag and actually take care of the thing. Back to your question, don't worry. No one will see a guy driving a vw jetta of any year and think.. To me a lot to do with it depends on where you live. I'm from KY and people out in the country are all about big pickups and big slow caddyboats and stuff like that. Over there a small euro sedan might be considered a bit girly.
