Precautions Before Using U281 CAN VW Memo Reader

It is universal knowledge that when we get something new, we first pay attention to how to use and use precautions. What should we do when we have an U280 CAN VW memo reader? Here I would like to list some points that we should do before using U280. 1.Always perform automotive testing in a safe environment. 2.Wear safety eye protection that meets ANSI standards. 3.Keep clothing, hair, hands, tools, test equipment, etc, away from all moving or hot engine parts. 4.Operate the vehicle in a well-ventilated work area; Exhaust gases are poisonous. 5.Put blocks on drive wheels and never leave vehicle unattended while running testes. 6.Use extreme caution when working around the ignition coil, distributor cap, ignition wires and spark plugs. These components create hazardous voltages when the engine is running. 7.Put transmission in PARK (for automatic transmission) or NEUTRAL (for manual transmission) and make sure the parking break is engaged. 8.Keep a fire extinguisher suitable for gasoline/ Chemical/ electrical fires nearby.

9.Don't connect or disconnect any test equipment with ignition on or engine running. 10.Keep the code reader dry, clean and free from oil, water and grease. Use a mild detergent on a clean cloth to clean the outside of the code reader, when necessary. LCD DISPLAY- Indicates test results. It is a backlit2-line display with 8 characters on each line. READ BUTTON- Retrieves and Scrolls through Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTCs) stored in the Vehicle's systems. ERASE BUTTON- Erases Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTCs)and "Freeze Frame" data from the vehicle's memory. OBD II CONNECTOR- Connects the Code Reader to the vehicle's Data Link Connector(DTC). 2.Reads and erases Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTCs) of Engine, ABS, Airbags and Automatic Transmission. The MemoScan U281 CAN VW/AUDI Code Reader is specially designed to work with most Volkswagen and Audis sold Worldwide of 1990 or newer models. If a VW/AUDI has a 16-pin "OBD-II style" Data Link Connector(DTC),the code reader will certainly work, If it has an old-style 2x2 Data Link Connector(DTC),then it depends on whether there are 4 or 3wires connecting to the pins. If there are 4 wires each connecting a pin, then it will work. If there are only 3 wires, leaving one pin disconnected, then it will not work. For VW/AUDIs with old-style 2x2 Data Link Connector(DTC), you need to have a 2x2 cabling adapter which is not included in this product package. That's all I have found till now, if I can find more information about this U281, i will add more information to it. I hope after reading you are more familiar with this auto diagnostic tool.

The Volkswagen Jetta is a classic and stylish sedan perfect for everyone from college students to soccer moms. It’s one of the best-selling VW models in US history, and its all-around combination of style, features, and value is top-notch. Radio - The radio in your Jetta keeps you entertained in traffic or on long drives! If the radio is out, you're stuck in silence or listening to the sounds of traffic. Get an OEM replacement and get back to the music! Wheels - It’s unfortunately pretty easy to for damage to occur to your Jetta wheels. Keep the uniform appearance of your Jetta, and get an OEM wheel to match the rest of the set. Catalytic Converters - The OEM Jetta catalytic converter is a valuable part you need to pass emissions. We also carry genuine Jetta accessories such as floor mats. We never offer cheap aftermarket copies of Volkswagen OEM parts and don't try to compensate for our low prices with inflated shipping.

The Volkswagen Group is the world’s biggest producer of vehicles. It sold 10.74 million last year. It is also number one in Britain. Volkswagen, per se, sold 4.1 million cars in the first eight months this year, a record, in the teeth of people grumbling about diesel futures and diesel pasts. Porsche last month confirmed that it was abandoning diesel fuel in favour of petrol hybrids and pure electric power. Its first electric car, the Taycan, is scheduled sometime next year. At a recent display of the latest Volkswagens we were told that we were witnessing the “largest offensive in VW history”. I’m not sure that offensive is the word I’d use but this is the braying soccer-pitch lingo. The VW history started in the late 1930s, by the way, with a volkswagen, the people’s car. Anyway, to Aynho for our part in this offensive activity. Also known as the apricot village for the perfect climate to grow this Armenian plum (a poor crop this year), Aynho is near Banbury and good driving country with light traffic and picturesque villages.
