What The Indian Automobile Industry Has To Offer

The Indian automobile industry is extremely vast. There is an array of cars and car types one could choose from. Over the last decade or so the Indian automobile industry has really grown and has now become one of the potentially the largest car markets. Car makers from all across the world have launched in India. Manufacturers like Toyota, Honda and Chevrolet have opened up their plants in India. This is in order to try and get a stronghold of the Indian market. Car giants like Skoda and Volkswagen are trying everything in their power to make their presence felt. Each segment of cars has seen such a large amount of growth in the last couple of years. The number of hatchbacks, sedans, sports utility vehicles and multi utility vehicles has increased by leaps and bounds. The hatchback segment has seen the most remarkable growth. As hatchbacks are the most ideal cars for the Indian market. They are smaller in size, which means they are easier to park and maneuver through traffic.

This is exactly what one would need given the horrible traffic conditions we have to endure in all our metropolitan cities. Hatchbacks also give a considerably higher mileage compared to all other cars. This is the biggest boon considering the rate at which fuel prices are sky rocketing. There are two types of hatchbacks; normal and premium hatchbacks. Some of the newer premium hatchbacks to be launched are the Honda brio, the new Maruti Swift and the Volkswagen Polo. A few normal hatchbacks are the Hyundai Eon, Maruti Alto k10 and the Hyundai i10. The sedan segment has also seen a lot of new cars and car makers launching their cars into this segment. Sedans are ideal for people who have a larger family and wish to ride to their destination in absolute comfort. Some of the entry level sedans which have taken the market by storm are the Maruti Swift Dzire, the Maruti Sx4 and the Volkswagen Vento.

The higher level or premium sedans which have done extremely well are the Honda Civic, Chevrolet Cruz and the Volkswagen Jetta. These cars represent absolute comfort and luxury and are also a status sign which reflect how well you are doing. Even the SUV (sports utility vehicle) segment has observed a sudden inflow of SUV's being launched across the Indian market. Over ten years ago, the only SUV available in the Indian market was the maruti Gypsy, however, today it is a different story altogether. There are numerous suv's available and even more being launched. Some of the SUV's which have done well are Honda CRV and the Ford Endeavor. Some of the new suv's to be launched are the mahindra XUV 500, the Skoda Yeti and the all new tata safari. The multi utility vehicles in India would consist of the Toyota Innova, the newly launched Maruti Ertiga and of course the Maruti Omni and Eeco. These cars are perfect for people who have large families, as that is quite a common thing in India. This sums up all the car segments that the Indian automobile market consists of. And proves exactly how much growth the Indian automobile industry has seen over the last decade.

Might also want to check and lube all the shift linkage and I do mean ALL of it. You've got over 6 feet of connections, shift rods, linkages, mounts etc. going from front to back and if any of it's loose or binding? That can cause all kinds of problems. What kind of MPG can you expect from a 1965-1975 VW Bus? I'm considering one for my family? How much leg room do you get in the front and second rows? Is there a third row? I've never ridden in one, but my friend has one and LOVES it. He says it's really nice, but I'd like some more opinions. Camper" version. It's the "Swiss Army Knife of vehicles. I've gone places and done things that a lot of 4X4's have trouble going. And what efficiency apartment do you know of that gets 18-20MPG? I've also been a mechanic for over 40 years and worked on VW's for most of that time. I've never had one leave me completely stranded. Can I drive my car as Darth Vader would? Would it be illegal for me to drive my car with my Darth Vader Voice Changing Helmet on? Is there some kind of law prohibiting people to drive with their face concealed? There are laws in most states that make it illegal to obstruct your view in any way. Also, in many states now, it's illegal to drive while "distracted" by anything. This applies mostly to cell phones and radios, but could be easily applied to your Star Wars helmet. Besides that, any officer could cite you for unsafe or reckless driving if they believe wearing this thing is a safety issue, and just about any officer would. It's a serious charge that would be taken before a judge automatically, and you can bet anything that the judge would agree with the officer.
