2010 Porsche Panamera Turbo (970) V8-4.8L Turbo A L L Diagnostic Trouble Codes ( DTC ): P Code Charts Page 381
- Engaged gear is held until vehicle stops
- Moving off possible only in 2nd gear
- Only gears 2, 4 and 6 are possible
- Start enable only in selector lever position P
- Transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster control unit
Pressure Sensor Clutch 1, Measured Value Implausible
P181A
Diagnosis information - PDK
Pressure sensor clutch 1, measured value implausible
Diagnostic conditions
The control unit initially tests internal function sequences when the ignition is switched on (terminal 15). If they are OK, all diagnosable outputs are
then tested and any faults are stored.
- Ignition on
Possible fault causes
- Line between pressure sensor 1 and PDK control unit faulty
- Pressure sensor 1 faulty
- Hydraulic control unit faulty
- PDK control unit faulty
Fault setting conditions
- Measured pressure deviates from the internal plausibility. Permissible limit value was exceeded.
Fault effects
- Engaged gear is held until vehicle stops
- Moving off possible only in 2nd gear
- Only gears 2, 4 and 6 are possible
- Start enable only in selector lever position P
- Transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster control unit

NOTE: The specified values and value ranges correspond to the OK state in each case.
Line test setpoints
Short circuit to B+:
- Setpoint voltage -0.5 V --> +0.5 V
Short circuit to ground:
- Setpoint resistance > 0.9 MOhm
Open circuit:
- Setpoint resistance < 2 Ohm
Diagnosis Information - PDK (Dual-Clutch Transmission)
P181A
Diagnostic information - PDK
Pressure sensor 1, short circuit to ground or open circuit
Diagnostic conditions
The control unit initially tests internal function sequences when the ignition is switched on (terminal 15). If they are OK, all diagnosable outputs are
then tested and any faults are stored.
- Engine running
- The following fault is not detected: P1706
- The following fault is not detected: P1707
Possible fault causes
- Short circuit to ground or open circuit in line between pressure sensors and PDK control unit
