2019 Volkswagen Passat Variant BlueMotion

Photo of Red Volkswagen VanThe new Passat BlueMotion - no other vehicle of its size consumes less fuel. The saloon needs exactly 5.1 litres of diesel for 100 km. And just as convincing: a CO2 emission level of just 136 g/km. The world premiere of the Passat BlueMotion is 6th March at the Geneva Motor Show. With the new Passat BlueMotion, Volkswagen is forcing ahead with the launch of vehicles that are particularly efficient and environmentally friendly. The first BlueMotion model was the Polo in the summer of 2006- an immediate success and its production figures have already been increased threefold due to the high demand throughout Europe. With reference to the new Passat BlueMotion this means: an average of 5.1 litres of diesel over 100 kilometres. The Passat Estate BlueMotion needs 5.2 litres (137 g/km) - also a top value, even in comparison to vehicles worldwide. Both body versions have a driving range of up to 1,350 kilometres with a full tank! Volkswagen can achieve such low consumption figures through the fine tuning of the engine, which was already extremely efficient. In this case a 77 kW / 105 bhp TDI engine with a diesel particulate filter fitted as standard. This fuel efficiency does not, however, reduce levels of agility. The Passat BlueMotion can accelerate up to 193 km/h (Estate: 190 km/h) if required. That is an element of the BlueMotion philosophy: fuel efficiency and agility in a combination that still makes driving fun.

And the Mountie, he's all chippy and everything, calling me a "shit disturber" and what not.

If the person we're talking to nods sympathetically, they're one of us, the real McCoy. If, however, they stare with a blank incomprehension, then they're not real Canadian and should be reported to the authorities at once. 5Tru facts about Canada! Canada is second largest country in the world, with a land mass of approximately 9,984,670 sq km but only has a population of just over 33.5 million. It borders 3 oceans (Pacific, Atlantic and Arctic) and the USA and has the longest coastline in the world, about 243,000 kms in length. It has 10 provinces and 3 territories and it's capital being Ottawa. We rank amongst the seven most prosperous nations in the world, and are consistently ranked as one of the top 10 best countries to live in. We are rich not only in the abundance of our resources and the magnificence of our land, but also in the diversity and the character of our people. We have long been known as one of the most tolerant, progressive, innovative, caring and peaceful societies in existence. We made it through July first! I'm whispering, as I don't want to awaken that cursed mirror. We made it through Canada Day, without it activating and flinging us, into who knows what time and place. Let's hope that we're going to be able to stick around for the 4th of July celebrations too. This weeks fabulous hubnuggets were delivered on time without a hitch. This week's HubNuggets winners are HERE! Congrats Hubnuggeteers, winners and runners-up for a job well done. Keep the good stuff coming one and all.

The Golf 7 has been around for a while but the car has its roots all the way back in the Golf 5 which hit the market more than 10 years ago. It finally looks like there is going to be an all new Golf. Like before, the new Golf is still going to use the same MQB modular architecture. However, it looks like this time around it may use a longer wheelbase version of the platform. This would allow VW to offer more space without having to compromise on anything else. See the new Toyota Corolla! With the change of wheelbase, they should also change the running gear. For now the Golf is available with a torsion beam in the back for its basic version. This is about to change and just like with its predecessors, the car will feature a fully independent suspension system at all four corners of the car.
