Horse and carriage is a popular choice with brides wanting a magical experience. There is nothing like a regal looking horse and carriage to make you look and feel like a princess. An elegant Rolls Royce is a popular wedding transport choice and are available with most hire companies. There are various models to choose from including vintage and classic models. For the traditional option you cant go wrong with Rolls Royce.
If you are worried about size then dont. Most Rolls Royce cars will easily accommodate you and your attendants. You will also be in good company as many celebrities, such as Gwen Stefani & Nicole Kidman, arrived at their weddings in a Rolls Royce. A vintage car is a really nice touch for a wedding and there are lots to choose from. If you are getting married in the summer choose an open roofed car or if your wedding is themed from a particular era, such as the 1930s, try to hire a car from that period for an authentic touch. A vintage car is a very stylish way to arrive at your wedding no matter what your venue type. Hire a modern car such as a Chrysler or Mercedes-Benz limousine. Add a special touch by decorating it with ribbon to define it as your wedding car. A modern car will work well for modern hotel venues and is perfect for a sophisticated entrance at a low key wedding. If your budget is tight, then look for a smaller car such as a Volkswagon Passat. Or go for something whimsical such as a Volkswagon Beetle and take off as the original Love Bugz! Think outside of the box and arrive in something unusual. Taxis, sidecars or even an army tank are just a few novel ideas for wedding transport. Go green and arrive on a bicycle or cycle off after the reception on a tandem! But, before you book the unusual, make sure you can comfortably fit in with your full wedding outfit on!
The nut is on under a tremendous amount of torque. The simplest way to do this is to use an impact wrench to break the nut loose. Electric impact guns can be purchased inexpensively and make a great addition to your tool kit. If you do not have an impact gun you can remove the center cap on the front wheel, leave the car on the ground and insert the 30mm socket through the center. Next, place the largest breaker bar you have on the socket and break the nut loose. I ended up having to put a three foot pipe on the end of the breaker bar to get enough leverage. Before you begin taking everything apart place your new bearing in the freezer. This will help contract the metal and make it easier to press in. Raise and support front of vehicle on jack stands. See our tech article on jacking up your vehicle. You will also need to remove the front brakes and rotor. Please see our article on replacing you front rotor.
Chullora, Sydney: Volkswagen Australia has today unveiled the fruits of its industry-wide collaboration project, dubbed the ART3on: a track-ready customised Arteon Art Car, built by a team of Volkswagen apprentices and mentors from the Australian automotive aftermarket industry. Last year's team turned a 2.2-tonne Amarok ute into a race-going track car; which became a viral superstar on social media, and has since gone on to set impressive lap times around Australia's premier motorsport tracks. This year's challenge saw Volkswagen offer up another less-obvious vehicle to customise: the Arteon luxury saloon. The apprentices had one week to turn the newest luxury Volkswagen from a refined GT car, into a fire-breathing race car worthy of a debut at the annual World Time Attack Challenge event at Sydney Motorsport Park. Overseeing the build, and the apprentices, was a team of mentors from Volkswagen Australia's own technical division, as well as innovators from the Australian automotive community. Luka Popovac, national customer experience and capability manager, was delighted with the program and what it affords Volkswagen's young apprentices. The result is a unique take on the iconic Art Car: a 360kW race-ready track car, complete with a one-of-a-kind artwork, created specifically for the car by renowned Sydney street artist Simon Murray, AKA KADE, adorning the car's sleek exterior. At its official unveiling at World Time Attack Challenge this weekend, the car will be driven by in-demand race driver, Renato Loberto, around Sydney Motorsport Park. Following a baseline performance test on a MAHA dynometer, the ART3on makes 360kW of power and 600Nm of torque. On an uphill straight at Luddenham, this power was put to the test where the ART3on consistently clocked an impressive 0-100km/h time of 3.9 seconds. Utilising Volkswagen's MQB architecture, the Arteon's standard 7-speed DSG and 4MOTION system, putting power to the ground via launch control function, ensure that this acceleration time is achieved day in, day out.
It may seem like manual transmissions are going extinct, and have been for decades, but this rule doesn’t apply so much to Volkswagen. We still believe in some of the pure aspects of driving, and that is why we’re happy there are so many Volkswagen models with manual transmission. So without keeping you waiting any longer, here is a list of Volkswagen models that are offered with a manual transmission. Keep in mind that this list is updated to the 2016 model year. Take a look or contact us at Neftin Volkswagen to learn more about their availability. As you can see, Volkswagen drivers in the U.S. Those who want some of the benefits of a manual, but don’t know how to drive with one, can still choose between the many VW models offering the DSG transmission with Tiptronic shifting mode. So why would you want to choose one of these manual transmission options over an automatic. Well, here are a few reasons why a stick shift might be the better option for some drivers. 1. More control in adverse weather conditions or when you don’t have much traction. 2. A possible theft deterrent (if the thief can’t drive a stick shift). 3. The potential for a little better fuel economy. 4. It’s just plain fun. So now that you’ve seen how many Volkswagen models have manual transmission, consider VW for your next stick-shift model. If you haven’t learned how to drive with a manual transmission, seeing how many great VW models come with a manual transmission might just be a good enough reason to learn. You won’t regret it.
