Damage to oxygen sensor.

- DO NOT use spray, grease, fluid or similar products on the oxygen sensor plug connections.

INFORMATION

- Do not interchange the oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in

implausible fault entries.

- The plugs themselves are coded and cannot be interchanged.

Diagnostic conditions

- Engine running > 30 Second(s), at:

- Exhaust gas temperature > 100 锟斤拷C (锟斤拷F)

- Oxygen sensor in front of catalytic converter ready for operation

- without Overrun phase(s)

Possible fault causes

- Fault in area: Oxygen sensor in front of catalytic converter Bank 1

Fault setting condition(s)

- Temperature implausible (Oxygen sensor in front of catalytic converter)

Fault effects

- Since oxygen sensing is interrupted the moment a fault is detected, the DME (DFI) control unit stores this fault as information.

- Other faults have been entered

- The vehicle must be driven in the same driving cycle (without ignition reset) for this purpose.

Oxygen sensor in front of catalytic converter Bank 2, Electrical fault

NOTE

Separated plug connection = open reference-air duct.
