2019 Cadillac XT5 Will Be Considerably More Expensive

It will cost up to $2,500 more than the current model.

Pricing details for the 2019 Cadillac XT5 have been uncovered by Cars Direct in dealer order guides, and the bad news is it’s going to be considerably more expensive. Compared to the previous year model, the 2019 Cadillac XT5 will cost up to $2,500 more. According to the leaked documents, the starting price for the 2019 Cadillac XT5 will be $42,690 including destination – that’s a $1,100 increase over the 2018 XT5, which started at $41,590.

Opt for the Luxury trim, and the starting price increases by $1,900 to $49,490, while the Premium Luxury model will start at $55,190, representing a $1,100 increase over the 2018 model. The range-topping XT5 Platinum, on the other hand, has had a whopping $2,500 price hike, and is now listed at $66,890. However, the price increase can be attributed to new safety features that now come as standard. For example, the XT5 Luxury gets the Driver Awareness Package as standard for 2018, when it was a $770 option for the previous model. Likewise, the XT5 Platinum also comes equipped with the more advanced Driver Assist Package that used to be a $1,595 option.

Among the features included in the safety package is adaptive cruise control, front and reverse auto emergency braking and auto parking assist. Along with adding new standard safety tech, the price increase will also help further differentiate the model from the upcoming XT4. Arriving this fall, prices for the XT4 range from $35,790 to $42,790 excluding options. Currently, the range-topping XT4 is $1,200 more expensive than the base model 2018 XT5, but after these changes there will only be a $100 difference.
