Diagnosis information - Control unit DME (DFI)



Clutch switch interlock



Diagnostic conditions



- at Engine start detected and



- Clutch pedal fully depressed



or



- at Starter does not rotate and



- Clutch pedal fully depressed:



- Ignition lock Position 2 (Terminal 50 - Engine start ) > 3 Second(s)



- then:



- Ignition off and



- Clutch pedal undo



- then:



- Clutch pedal fully depressed and



- Ignition lock Position 2 (Terminal 50 - Engine start) > 3 Second(s)



Possible fault causes



- Short circuit to B+ or Open circuit Signal lead



- Clutch switch interlock Faulty (stuck open)



Fault setting condition(s)



- Ignition lock Position 2 (Terminal 50 - Engine start) > 6 Second(s) total (See Diagnostic conditions)



Fault effects



- Starter does not rotate



- Display > Clutch pedal actuate < (Instrument cluster)



Pressure Sensor 1, Short Circuit To Ground Or Open Circuit

Pressure sensor 1, short circuit to ground or open circuit



Diagnostic conditions



The control unit initially tests internal function sequences when the ignition is switched on (terminal 15). If they are OK, all diagnosable outputs are



then tested and any faults are stored.



- Ignition on



- The following fault is not detected: P1706



- The following fault is not detected: P1707



Possible fault causes



- Short circuit to ground or open circuit in line between pressure sensors and PDK control unit



- Check sensor ground if the following faults are entered additionally:



P172F, P0711, P0712, P0841, P0843, P0846, P0848, P181B



Fault setting conditions



- Measured pressure < threshold value (0.35 bar)



Fault effects



- Only gears 2, 4 and 6 are possible



- Protective function: gear held and no pressure control



- Start enable only in position P



- No pressure control



- Clutch pressure < holding threshold DH-V (8.1 bar) and torque limitation



- Upward limitation of system pressure



- No emergency program diagnosis



- Only gears 2, 4 and 6 possible



- White transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster
