The Era Of New Energy Car

Volvo V60 plug-in hybrid to be commissioned in 2012; imported Mitsubishi PX-miev may also be put in the Chinese market next year; the new Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid was before our show listed. If the outlook of the new energy vehicles in all previous auto show just the future prospects for the development, then the just-concluded 2011 annual theme of "innovation", the Shanghai International Auto Show has become a "future", testimonies and interpretations. After reading this year's Shanghai International Auto Show, I believe everyone has experienced the fatigue of visiting the exhibition after the hearts of dying and emotion, is the approaching of the new energy automobile era. You can see, in the path of development of new energy vehicles, there are many international dominate the first-line high-end car brands, BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Infiniti, Volvo, Audi, Porsche, Volkswagen to embrace the move of the new energy era. Obviously, with the domestic oil prices increased dramatically and the launch of the city to limit car policy, close to the pace of new energy vehicles has been inevitable. Main products: car dvd player and in car camera, are with good quality.

As the Touareg has a long wheelbase and short overhang at the rear, it is a most stable vehicle while towing a trailer. However when towing any large van, a weight distribution hitch is needed. Not everyone has a budget that will stretch to a VW Touareg V10, and spending more doesn’t always provide more. However in the case of the V10 TDI, spending extra certainly gets you plenty. Whether we need all the beaut high-tech features can be debated for hours, but it is nice to know that VW has produced a vehicle that is not all show. Anyone in the market for a vehicle to tow a big caravan or boat up to 3500kg with 350kg vertical ball load will no doubt be impressed with the virtues and ability of the Touareg. In the technology stakes it is ahead of just about everything else on the road. If the above is not impressive enough, add the fact that last year the Touareg attained the Guinness Book of Records entry for the highest altitude, 6080m, recorded for a vehicle. This feat took place on the lunar landscape of Ojos del Salado, the world’s highest volcano, in Chile. Apparently this is the highest point on earth that a vehicle can reach and safely return from.

The limo-like ride is more akin to an airport car service, and, that is just the way I like it. The bigger the wheels, the less compliant the ride. That’s something to remember when ticking options boxes like a man-possessed. The really cool stuff like active lane assist, and side assist are only available in the upper models so you’ll need many more shekels if you can’t live without those features. 3 child seat anchor points and 2 Isofix point on outer rear seats. Emergency auto braking and steering assist isn’t available in the base models which is a shame. The last safety rating for Touareg was 2004 and does not apply to this car. Touareg is bloody good-looking. You sit high and feel like the king of the road. The cabin has a faint whiff of gentlemen’s club that hasn’t been renovated. The new, cutting-edge model, is due next year and was previewed at the motor show in China recently. If I was reviewing Touareg in isolation, the story would be a different one, but because it is up against stiff competition, it feels lacking in mod cons. Any model at the end of its cycle is in the same boat. Buyers however, won’t care. They want the most bang for their hard-earned buck. Although I love the look and feel, I’d be more inclined to buy a Kia Sorento which is cheaper and has more stuff. Sure, it doesn’t have the same feel as the Volkswagen, and that matters to some badge-motivated buyers. The new model is related to the Porsche Cayenne/Panamera, Audi A7/Q7/Q8, Bentley Bentayga/Continental/Flying Spur, and the Lamborghini Urus. Such is the reach of a multi brand that platforms, engines, suspension and other mechanicals are shared around like phone numbers at a swinger’s party.
