Volkswagen Announces 2019 E-Golf Pricing And Massive Range Increase

She says, he says: Volkswagen Golf GTI 40 Years new car review
The upgraded battery in the new car boosts the range up to 125 miles. Charging from a regular 240V station takes just 6 hours, or one hour with the optional DC Fast-Charging kit. The engine has also been tweaked, now boasting 134 hp and 214 pound-feet of torque. This means the car will accelerate to 60 miles per hour in just under 10 seconds and reach a top speed of 85 mph. The base model e-Golf SE is a steal, featuring new standard accessories like a leather-wrapped steering wheel, LEDs on the exterior and an 8-inch infotainment system. 33,795 Limited Edition adds DC Fast-Charging as standard, plus Park Distance Control for tight parking spaces, automatic emergency braking and leatherette seats. 36,995 SEL Premium model is top of the line with leather seats and VW Digital Cockpit, an upgraded instrument cluster. There's also an optional Driver Assistance package featuring Lane Keep Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control and Park Assist.

It's the positive lifestyle statement of the summer: the new Volkswagen CrossTouran! Following the CrossPolo and CrossGolf launched earlier in the year, the VW CrossTouran now fills the gap in the Cross lifestyle family. Volkswagen's 'more extrovert' compact MPV is now available to order from a starting price of €27,700. The Touran already follows the new Volkswagen design DNA and impresses externally with a dynamic character line, a new, powerful rear-end design and two-part taillight clusters. However, the Volkswagen CrossTouran traditionally 'goes one better' and with its modified bad road kit complete with longer suspension springs it gets 20 millimetres more ground clearance than the standard model. On top of that comes the mix of 215 tyres at the front and 235s at the back, both on 17-inch alloy wheels. Thanks to its striking exterior elements the new CrossTouran is also instantly perceived as an autonomous model. The widened wheel arches form a unit with the side sills, which are drawn right up into the doors. It is also given a sporty character by the differentiated front and rear bumpers and the black grained protective strips on the doors.

In addition to a specific design the autonomous 'Cross' brand also stands - like 'GTI' and 'R' - for a specially designed set of features. Through the sum of its special features the VW CrossTouran glistens with Wolfsburg virtues: interior comfort and convenience (40 storage bins and optional third seating row), driving fun and environmental awareness. For instance, as well as with the familiar TSI and TDI engines the new Volkswagen CrossTouran is now also available with the particularly efficient and environmentally friendly 'EcoFuel' natural gas engine. Fuel consumption when driving on natural gas is 4.8 kilograms per 100 kilometres, which equates to CO2 emissions per kilometre of 133 grams. The additional natural gas tanks are located beneath the floor, so that the vehicle's cargo capacity of up to 1,989 litres is not affected. In total Volkswagen CrossTouran customers have a wide array of TSI, TDI and natural gas engines to choose from, ranging in power from 77 kW to 125 kW (105 to 170 PS). This lifestyle-oriented all-rounder - complete with all visual and technical refinements - can now be ordered in Germany from a starting price of €27,700.

Brand New Jetta Question? I'm looking into getting one of those new VW Jetta TDI Diesels they've been advertising on TV lately. I mean they're nice cars, not overly expensive, and they're great on gas, how could I go wrong? Only thing I've heard is that ANY German car, even the Volkswagens, are really expensive to fix when they break down. From a VW owner, is this true? It currently has almost 52,000 miles.. 2/3 of the vehicles in Europe are diesel. America suffers great ignorance about how clean diesel engines really are now. In the area of California where I'm at, diesel fuel sells for about the same as premium fuel, so it makes economic sense to own one here. I figured that where I'm at the diesel will cost about 8%-10% less to run than a gasolene engined 2.5 liter 5 cylinder Jetta/Golf/New Beetle after most factors are considered. The one huge factor in this that is not included is: depreciation. The diesel modeled Golf/Jetta/New Beetle have depreciated far less than the gasolene powered models, on a five year old Jetta, the difference is huge; about 25% difference in actual cash value of the car. Like many vehicles today, you should carry you own power steering fluid, coolant and the correct oil for your vehicle, since oil change shops won't have the correct fluids on hand for it. 40 a quart or more and is only available at a VW-Audi dealerships.

I am painting my bug this week and i am trying to find a nice classic color to paint it. I think the best vehicles are two tone. Keep the colours light, cream or old english white on the bottom with a VW green or blue. Is a VW GTi or Rabbit a good car to buy? What are your opinions of these two cars? Do they handle well in the winter? Would either of them be a good car to buy? No. VW is notorious for over priced maint & repairs, and some models arent reliable. Honda has been one of Consumer Reports most reliable brands. Plus the reviews on them are very good and hold there value. When you want it to be smooth and comfortable it will obey while when you would like it to become wild it will again obey.. I don't know exactly how much maintenance cost are in the US but in EU it is within limits of equivalent cars.. You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. GTI 5 speed problems?
