Both google and apple already tried to buy Tesla. In 2013 and 2014. They have plenty of cash to do it with, too. So why didn't they? Competition is just now arriving. The days of the Tesla monopoly are over. The e-golf is already outselling the Tesla model 3 in Q2 in norway. These are not real advantages. First off other manufacturers have way more cars on the road and sell way more cars than Tesla. They are also profitable and have deeper pockets setting up infrastructer won't be a problem for them. This has to do with what you priorise in battery chemistry. Faster charge times like the e-tron will require compromises in other areas. Tesla also doesnt have a long term battery advantage, again the other players have deeper pockets and will easily be able to catch up to Tesla. The company is not wortheless. It has products that are loved by consumers and valuable assets. It's just not nearly worth as much as the market thinks it is. Tesla since it doesnt make any money so price to book value and price to sales are probbaly the best way to value to the company.

Toyota, Volkswagen and General Motors trade at 1x (Toyota), 0.65 (Volkswagen) and 1.3x (General Motors) bookvalue. Tesla trades at 9x book value. Volkswagen trades at 0.32x sales, Daimler (0.34x sales) and General motors 0.37x sales. Tesla trades at 1.8x times sales. So what would be a realistic valuation? 37 dollars. Price to book would give us 26 dollars. So fair value should be around 30 dollars. 50 dollars if you are optimistic about Tesla's future. Now you could argue that Tesla is growing much faster than all these companies (wich I personaly dont agree with) but Tesla is also significantly more risky than these companies and is likely to fail. You can also argue that Tesla is more than an automobile company but I would like to argue against that. Solar MW deployed has declined since 2016 and it's only a fraction of their buiseness thats also not profitable. Tesla insurance and Robotaxis also dont exisit yet and highly unlikely that Tesla will be succesfull in these areas.

Recently, the new taxation system ‘GST’ has brought so much joy to automobile buyers in the country. Now, here’s interesting news for the Volkswagen Polo GTI enthusiasts. Volkswagen dealers are offering a discount of around Rs 5.19 lakh on the new Volkswagen Polo GTI. The news has been confirmed from VW Downtown Mumbai showrooms. Aiming to clear their stock, the dealers are offering the performance hatchback at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) only. The Volkswagen Polo GTI was launched in January 2015 at Rs 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Post GST, the hatch is available at Rs 25.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan India). In India, the Volkswagen Polo GTI is being imported via CBU (completely built-up unit) route. One must note that only 99 units of the VW Polo GTI were allotted for the Indian market that too only on select VW dealerships. As a reminder, the Volkswagen Polo GTI had its India debut at Auto Expo in February.

While the Polo is already available with GT TSI and GT TDI options, the 3-door VW Polo GTI is Volkswagen’s first 3-door performance-oriented model in the country. Powered by a 189bhp, 1.8-litre TSI engine, the Volkswagen Polo GTI is the most powerful car in its league. This new motor is 11.8bhp more powerful and 70Nm torqueier than the 1.4-litre TSI petrol unit. The performance hatch can attain a top speed of 236kmph, thus making it fastest hot hatch in the country. First launched in January 2015, the VW Polo GTI came with a price tag of Rs 25.99 (ex-showroom, Delhi). After GST, the price of the hatchback fell to Rs 25.18 (ex-showroom). But, certain dealerships are now offering the car at a discounted price of Rs 19.99 lakh. Despite being a powerful machine, the new Polo GTI is quite decent in terms of fuel efficiency. In the hot-hatch segment, the new Volkswagen Polo GTI faces challenge from cars like Fiat Abarth Punto and BMW Mini.
