Volkswagen Vehicles Have A Rich History

Volkswagen vehicles come in many different styles and sizes. These cars date back to the 1930s and they have quite an interesting history to them. The Volkswagen line of cars was initially created in 1936 by Ferdinand Porsche. These were designed as very economical and inexpensive vehicles, and they were often called the "people's car." This is what the word Volkswagen translates to. The first cars made by this company are still made today, only they are made using much different materials. These first cars are known as beetles. If you ever see a beetle, you probably instantly recognize it. There are no other cars that look anything like these. They are very unique vehicles and they are still very popular today. The United States did not see these cars until the end of the 1940s. In 1949, the Volkswagen beetle came to the U.S. There were movies that were made around a beetle, and this helped increase its popularity. This company began making these cars in large numbers just to meet the demand of the public. VW did not stop with just making the infamous beetle cars though.

They expanded their market by making cars that were larger and not as inexpensive. One of these vehicles was the Volkswagen bus. These busses were very unique and different from anything else that had ever been manufactured. In fact, there has never been anything even similar to these vehicles to date. These vans were primarily made in the 1960s and 1970s. They were often associated with hippies because these groups of people were the people that primarily purchased them. One of the reasons for this was because these busses offered camper like attributes. People could purchase these vehicles and they could have a place to sleep. People like this would travel around and they would always sleep in their vans. This was an interesting time period, and these vehicles were a huge part of it. Today you can buy many different models and styles of Volkswagen vehicles. You can still purchase beetles if that is what you want. The beetle is still considered to be a compact car and many people really like this. If you do not want something so small, you can step up and buy a larger model of Volkswagen. There are mid-size sedans available and there are even larger vehicles. Today the minivan has taken the place of the original Volkswagen busses. These minivans are great for families. These cars are known for being built well. They are German cars and they are very durable. You can expect a car like this to last for a very long time. Today this company actually sells more cars than Toyota and Toyota is a very large company. To buy a car like this, visit a car dealer that sells this brand. There are dealers all over the place with these cars, but they might be slightly harder to find than other types of dealers. Choose the size, model and color that you like for you brand new Volkswagen car that you are buying.

At first glance first thoughts may that the Passat CC(with Car DVD) is a frugal diesel family car. At first glance first thoughts may that the Passat CC(with Car DVD) is a frugal diesel family car. With a sleek and pretty exterior, you would think it has been designed in order to achieve maximum fuel economy. While this may be true for the diesel iteration of this unique saloon, for the V6 FSI model, it could not be further from the truth. With underpinnings borrowed from the notorious Passat R36, it is what some would call a 鈥榳olf in sheep鈥檚 clothing鈥? a sleeper. This is what I love most about the V6 CC, the element of surprise. Moreover, there鈥檚 little distinguishing it from the standard 125 TDI from the exterior. Other than Interlago 18鈥?wheels and a dual exhaust outlet, the two cars cannot be differentiated. Opening the pillarless doors and stepping inside, the quality of the craftsmanship is apparent and frankly, you would not accept less from a German-built car.

The two tone black and cashmere coloured Nappa leather makes for a beautiful atmosphere. Glancing over the dash reveals a simple elegance with clearly illustrated dials. The infotainment system strikes a perfect balance between sleekness and usable buttons. Even the key fob has a simple elegance about it, slotting into ignition with a satisfying click. Upon startup you are greeted with the wonderful rumble of Volkswagen鈥檚 best engine, the narrow angle 3.6L V6. With the interior coming alive, little details become apparent, like the LED lighting beneath the door spears, LED footwell lighting and beautiful self-levelling and cornering Xenon headlamps. The major let down of the interior would have to be the steering wheel. There is nothing differentiating it from the standard wheel found in every other VW. Paddle shifters are present, however, and the construction of the wheel is much like the rest of the car, impeccable. Moving through the interior, there is seating for 4 with heated seats for all, dual zone climate control and a rather nifty 30GB HDD for music with a Car DVD player.

The optional Dynaudio system is so powerful and clear that it will leave the teenager within you giggling and driving laps around the local hotspot. Rear occupants may complain of little head room in the back, but if this is a problem then the CC is not for you, buy a standard, boring Passat. The CC comes alive on a spirited drive through a beautiful silk road. Engaging the sport setting on the suspension and DSG keeps the revs high and in the sweet spot of the luscious VR6. It鈥檚 hard to believe that VW quotes 220kw and 350NM of torque as it feels much quicker. The steering gives you confidence and the 4Motion AWD system allows you to take the car to the edge and remain in control. Keen drivers, however, will notice that it is a little floaty through hard cornering even with the Sport setting engaged. Moving from a stop, you feel the jerk of the clutches engaging in the DSG, however, this is reduced once you slide the beautifully grafted lever into manual mode. Gear changes are exactly what we have come to expect from the VW DSG: clean and crisp with a slight 鈥済shhht鈥?thanks to the torque tags on full throttle gear changes. The brakes are a tad touchy however provide a great feel and stop the car with millimeter precision. Do not be fooled into thinking this car is a dedicated sports car. Once the suspension setting into normal or even comfort, you have a compliant, quiet luxury cruiser that allows you to ride in unique style. Overall, any preconceived opinions of this being just another dull Passat have been completely blown away. This is not a regular family car, but a vehicle for the enthusiast in need of some extra space. In fact, I loved this car so much that I bought one. If installing an Android Car Stereo, that would be perfect.
