Click HERE for all Current Listings! In 2003 in Mexico, the production of the air cooled VW Beetle came to a halt. Collectors have gobbled these up world wide and stashed them in their showrooms and collections. A few have been put on the road of course, but regulations here in the US make registration difficult. DMV to see for sure. The cars currently have Mexican titles in the name of the original owner, they are legitimate in all regards as far as ownership. If you are buying them for collection display only, the issue is a small one, and that is some folks have dealt with it. Special badge on the glove box door. The blue car has 1366 original Kilometers since new. I would polish the chassis and keep it perfect for all eternity. Original tool rolls in both cars. Matching spare wheels and tires. Manuals for both cars and Mexican ownership paperwork. Factory installed fire extinguisher. Modern radio and switches. The cream car has 4476 original Kilometers. Another touch of the Ultima editiion is the chrome taillight rings. Thje engines are fuel injected 1600cc units with hydraulic lifters, alternator and all the modern bits. These engines run so smooth! Figure out the registration process in the US and you have the ultimate daily driver.

Alvarado told KOVR-TV that Alexander said he was going to pick up his brother in San Francisco. The father later reportedly called Alvarado crying but didn't say anything. Alexia Rose Echeverria was discovered Monday behind a dumpster at a funeral home in the Los Angeles suburb of Bellflower. The distraught mother said she demanded he come home with their daughter or she would call the police. She had just had just learned how to say, 'Mama.' She was already calling me mama. She was clapping for everything,' Alvarado said. Local television footage showed a memorial of flowers, balloons, candles and stuffed animals outside the Southern California mortuary. Authorities didn't immediately release details about the girl's death or why an Amber Alert was not issued. Sarah Ardalani, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County coroner's office, said law enforcement had put a 'security hold' on the case that prohibited her from releasing further information. Echeverria was last seen in Southern California early on Monday morning, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said in a statement on Tuesday. Officials believe he suffers from depression and had made suicidal statements to his family, who reported him missing on Memorial Day. He was last seen alone on Sunday at around 10:30 p.m., according to an alert issued Tuesday evening by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, which is handling the case, and a spokesperson for the mortuary did not immediately return requests for additional comment.

Those expecting a wild ride from the new Jetta GLI will be disappointed. The sports sedan is still a Golf GTI with a trunk, tame in every way. Yesterday, we talked about how the new GLI might debut at the Detroit Auto Show. Yet more Jetta stuff coming out of South America reveals most of the design today. Autoblog Argentina was able to snap a few photos of a red rooster strapped to a carrier at an airport wearing very little in the way of camouflage. Where are you off to little Jetta - Los Angeles maybe? Volkswagen has always loved showing less important models at smaller auto shows where they get more attention. And there's nothing special about the GLI. It's just like a regular Jetta with side skirts, 19-inch wheels, a different bumper and a couple of exhaust pipes. Don't get us wrong; there's nothing wrong with having a 2-liter turbo instead of the smaller 1.5 in the Civic Si or the 1.6 in the Elantra Sport. But where's the trunk spoiler? The interior is similarly restrained, featuring the same steering wheel, shifter and pedals as the Golf GTI. The infotainment is a little nicer, but you still don't get tartan seats, and that's kind of a bummer. The latest specs for the car put the 2.0 TSI at 230 horsepower. With the DSG gearbox which you can clearly see in the photos, it should be able to do 60 mph in about 6 seconds. While the model will be built alongside its normal cousin at the factory in Mexico, they will differ in one key area. While the 147 horsepower model gets a torsion beam at the back, the suspension of the GLI will be thoroughly reworked for stiffness and includes independent arms at the back.

I felt compelled to write an additional review so that anyone considering bringing their vehicle to Berge VW for service can feel confident that from the Service Manager on down, Berge VW will do right by their customers. No doubt repairs can be costly and despite how well these cars are engineered, issues will arise. Hopefully it falls under warranty but when it doesn't and it would appear to be a legitimate manufacturer flaw, you would want the manufacturer to accept responsibility. Disclaimer: A person not liking the cost of repairs does not make a legitimate manufacturing flaw. You want your service department to guide you and advocate on your behalf and push for what is a fair resolution. That is exactly what Berge Volkswagen has done. Bob Herbold is my longtime service advisor and Bob has always been clear and concise when explaining repair issues. He has given me piece of mind when I bring my car in for service. Vince Medina, the service manager, was diligent in his follow up to ensure that any issue I may have had was resolved to our satisfaction. These are stand up gentlemen and it is a pleasure to call Berge Volkswagen my hometown VW dealership.
