Authorities in California want to question the father of a 8-month-old girl who found dead after being dumped outside a funeral home on Monday. Law enforcement agents are seeking Alexander Echeverria, 22, after the body of Alexia Rose Echeverria was discovered behind a dumpster in the Los Angeles suburb of Bellflower. The child's lifeless body was wrapped in a blanket and placed on a car seat. The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department believes the baby died in Sacramento before her father abandoned her body in Southern California. My baby didn't have to go through all of that,' the girl's mother, Karla Alvarado, told Univision. According to police reports, Alexander confessed to his family that he dropped the baby and she was unresponsive when he picked her up. Alexander reportedly took his daughter to a local hospital but refused to enter the facility's emergency wing. He then set out on a 400-mile drive from Sacramento to Los Angeles, where Alexia Rose was later abandoned.
