Volkswagen Passat BlueMotion

WE had a Passat when I was a kid so I have something of a soft-spot for the model. My memories of it are fond and if you buy one of the latest ones I鈥檇 imagine a few years down the line you might feel the same. It鈥檚 not going to set your heart a flutter, but name me a VW that does. They are just very good at doing what they are designed for. Our BlueMotion car was powered by a 1.6 litre TDI engine mated to a six-speed manual gearbox. It鈥檚 not the biggest of powerplants, and admittedly you have to work it hard to get the best from it, but that said, it was more than powerful enough for my daily commute. THE BlueMotion is based on the entry level S-model, but the cabin does not feel bargain basement. It鈥檚 typically VW - pleasant, neat, tidy, without any unnecessary excitement.

The seats are comfortable, the views are good, in short there鈥檚 a lot to like and not a lot to moan about. STANDARD features include ABS, electronic brake-press distribution, keyless start, stop-start engine function, battery regeneration, hill hold function, multi-function trip computer, electronic parking brake, manual air conditioning, electric windows and electrically heated and adjustable door mirrors. In addition, there was split-folding 60:40 seating, Bluetooth, 6.5ins touchscreen, USB, 17ins alloys, sports suspension, BlueMotion styling pack, chrome trim, LED lighting. Our test car added parking sensors, Convenience pack including rain sensor, tyre pressure monitoring system, carpet mats, adaptive cruise control and voice activation. THE Passat feels a particularly spacious car. There should be no complaints if there鈥檚 four people onboard. Add a fifth and you might get a few quibbles from the person in the middle, but they should just appreciate the lift and keep quiet. The boot is large and incorporates a ski-hatch to allow bulky items to be carried, while still enabling you to carry passengers. The seats fold almost flat, but not quite. THE Passat BlueMotion is capable of returning more than 76mpg on the combined cycle. There鈥檚 three year/60,000 mile warranty, three years paint and 12 years鈥?body protection. In addition, you get a year鈥檚 Volkswagen Assistance. If installing an Android Car Stereo in your car, that would be great!

Volkswagen recommends that you to check the engine oil level at regular intervals, preferably everytime you fill the fuel tank, and always before a long trip. Your vehicle may consume engine oil depending on several variables. A maximum oi 1 quart per 1200 miles (1 liter per 2000 km) would be considered normal. New vehicles may consume more oil over the first 3000 miles (5000 km). The oil pressure warning light is not an indicator of low engine oil level. Stop the engine immediately, check the engine oil level and add oil it necessary. If you believe your engine uses too much oil, we recommend that you consult your authorized Volkswagen dealer or authorized Volkswagen Senrice Facility so that the cause of your concern can be properly diagnosed. Please keep in mind that accurate measurement of oil consumption requires great care and may take some time. Your authorized Volkswagen dealer and authorized Volkswagen Senrice Facility have instructions for how to measure oil consumption accurately.

Depending on the way the vehicle is driven and the operating conditions, oil consumption can be up to 1 quart per 1200 miles (0.5 liter per 1000 km). Consumption may be higher for new vehicles during the first 3000 miles (5000 km). The engine oil must be chaned according to the intenrals specified in your Booklet Warranty and Maintenance. Changing oil at regular intervals is very important because the lubricating properties of oil decrease gradually during normal vehicle use. Volkswagen dealer or authorized Volkswagen Service Facility. Sometimes, engine oil should be changed more often than specified for normal use. Change oil more frequently if you often drive short distances, in dusty areas or in stop-and-go traffic, or it you use your vehicle where temperatures stay below freezing for long periods. Volkswagen recommends that you have your oil and oil 铿乴ter changed by an authorized Volkswaen dealer or an autholized Volkswagen Senrice Facility. They have the required expertise and special tools and will dispose of the old oil properly. Detergent additives in the oil will make fresh oil look dark after the engine has been running a short time. This is normal and no reason to change engine oil more often.

There's also a 12V Power Socket at the centre for all to use. Lookin' at this angle from the back.. Beetle Cabrio is indeed very eye-catching! It's the nicest Beetle I've ever driven. The boot is just a small opening at the back.. It can be opened by just pressing the Volkswagen logo at the back. The boot space is 225 litres no matter the soft top is opened or closed. Thanks to the K-fold feature of the fabric top. The rear seats can be pushed down to create more boot space by pulling this catch here. Beside it is a hook for you to hook on to your plastic bags so that your groceries and stuffs wouldn't be rolling all over the boot. So it will look like this when the rear seat is down. Both rear seats can be pushed down. And yes.. just right below its the Fender sound system's Subwoofer that provide solid sound to your ears. Now.. this is how it looks like when the soft top is up.
