Volkswagen Vento Photos Price And Specifications

The common-rail diesel version of the Vento is the one to look out for. The common-rail diesel version of the Vento is the one to look out for. The Volkswagen Vento does not throw up any un pleasant surprises and is quite stable. The car is quite a listener with a safe and sound drive wheel for any kind of movement in the traffic. The car also stays pretty much on the road even at some quirky corners. The drive wheel listens to your command and pretty much drives the way you want it to. The tyres complement well and offer some good grip on the surface. You might be in for some body roll but that is part and parcel of cars in this segment. The Vento more than makes up for it with some amazing ride quality and makes even the bumpiest of terrains mute under its wheels.

The car seemed pretty steady even with four people and some huge massive luggage in the boot. The entire line of the Vento is equipped with rear air-con vents and a rear centre armrest. The Highline spec is the one that gets the best of the lot. The car has a CD player, climate control, electric mirrors, remote locking, alloy wheels, a trip computer, ABS and two airbags but no aux-in port. The entry level Trendline is priced well but it comes at the cost of some poor equipment and as of now there is no middle-of-the-road Comfortline variant that gives the best of both the worlds. On the whole the Vento is really tempting to splurge on. For a car at its price range you will fall in love with the solid build quality, the huge under tones giving it that class and maturity and then there is the diesel engine. The Vento prices start from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for the Trendline petrol and go on to Rs 9.23 lakh for the Highline diesel. The highlights of the car are the amazing ride quality, space for everyone and everything, comfortable seats for smoother journey and neat handling which responds well to your commands. The brickbats come in the form of some Lazy gearbox, lack of USB port and aux.

This undated booking photo provided by the Idaho State Police shows Jonathan Llana. A search was underway Thursday, May 23, 2019, in southern Idaho for Llana, suspected of shooting and killing a motorist on a Utah highway, Idaho State Police said in a statement. The driver ran, and authorities were searching for him Thursday, with the assistance of a helicopter, officials said. Van Fleet said during a news conference in Salt Lake City. In Idaho, Cassia County Sheriff Jay Heward warned residents near the search area to be wary of strangers and asked them to report any missing vehicles. Heward told The Times-News newspaper in Twin Falls, Idaho. Llana was described as 5 feet 10 inches (1.8 meters) tall, weighing about 150 pounds (68 kilograms), with black hair and brown eyes. He is described as armed and dangerous, but Heward said it's unknown whether he has a weapon in his possession. Utah law enforcement officials said a weapon was found inside the wrecked Jetta. Van Fleet said there was no indication the two drivers had interacted before the Wednesday shooting. The attack occurred after the Jetta and Range Rover cleared a traffic slowdown that resulted when two big rigs were side by side as one passed the other, Van Fleet said. The passenger in the Range Rover called 911 to report the shooting and provided a description of the Jetta, which had a unique antennae, according to the Utah Department of Public Safety. Another motorist - an emergency medical technician - stopped to help and confirmed the driver had died. The injured passenger was taken to a hospital.

The all-new Jetta GLI is pretty much confirmed for the 2019 Chicago Auto Show. And as that venue gets a little closer, we're not surprised to see some of the camouflage being stripped from the test prototypes. But we didn't expect th GLI sedan to be spied in Europe. More specifically, test engineers were trying to sneak out of the center they have near the Nurburgring for a quick evening drive. Fortunately for us, the carparazzi were still on hand, and they snapped the most revealing images yet. Volkswagen's regular cars have been getting less and less sporty over the past couple of years, which is precisely what the market wants in America. But it also means that models like the 2020 Jetta GLI are crucial, especially now that you can't buy the base model with a 1.8 TSI. The design changes they made are by no means groundbreaking, but it looks pretty good for a VW.

The GLI is rocking a deeper chin at the front. Both the upper and lower grilles now integrate a honeycomb pattern, while the fog lights have been mode to appear sportier. Looking at the side of the vehicle, we need to point out the lower suspension, unique 10-spoke wheels, red brake calipers wrapped around ventilated disks and even some side skirts. Unlike the GTI hatch, this sedan has vertical elements in its diffuser and a 2-1-2 exhaust system (GTI has one muffler). The independent rear suspension is an upgrade over what's on the spongy regular Jetta models. A 2-liter turbo is going to be under the hood, one that produces around 230 horsepower and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. Even though VW USA is into autos now, there should still be a DSG option, which is one of the things that differentiate the Jetta GLI from its rivals, especially the Honda Civic Si. Unfortunately, the hot sedan is pretty much restricted to the North American market. But plenty of people have imported VW's spicy sedan into their European garages. And with this one looking like an Audi S3 Sedan on a budget, the trend is sure to continue.
