Next VW Golf R To Have More Power, But No Drift Mode [UPDATE]

A previous version of this article stated incorrect power output for the U.S.-spec 2019 Golf R. We regret the mistake made and have updated the article with the correct information accordingly. The Volkswagen Golf R, along with the GTI, has been confirmed to reach the United States, devoiding the country of its chance to have the normal, non-performance version of the eighth-generation Golf. However, Jost Capito, head of VW's performance cars, confirmed that the upcoming Mk8 Golf R won't have drift mode nor four-wheel steering - two traits that the Golf R's rivals like the Ford Focus RS and Renault Megane RS possess. In an interview with Top Gear, the motorsport honcho said that the next-generation Golf R won't have Drift mode - a technology that the Mk3 Ford Focus RS has been known for. The question came up in relation to Capito's previous stint as the developer of the Focus RS. 鈥淭he Focus RS feels geared up for fun above everything. Drift mode is a free piece of technology that comes from the drive systems they鈥檙e using. Moreover, an all-wheel-steering feature, which the Renault Megane RS has, isn't going to be a possibility in the all-wheel-drive compact hot hatch. 鈥淚t鈥檚 just not necessary on a car the size of Golf,鈥?Capito says. The Eighth-Generation Golf's Reveal Is Near, But Only The GTI and R Will Reach The U.S. While these could sound quite a setback for fans of the performance hatch, Capito also confirmed that the new Golf R will have more power than before. For reference, the current U.S. Golf R houses a turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that produces 288 horsepower and 280 pound-feet (380 Nm) torque. Now, how much will the next-generation Golf R produce?

Could i install the Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System into a '67 Volkswagon Bus? Or does this system only come in the Audi A8 ? Yes - you can install it as long as you find a place for the components. Done car installs professionally for many years. Never heard of a '67 Vanagon. A Samba, Bus or Type II yes. Also, is this a 12 volt? Why would you put such a high-end audio system in a vehicle like this? Is the Bus worth it? Yes, you can. You can even put a WURLITZER Organ in there, if you want. It's not my personal taste but if you think it's boss, then go for it. Don't worry what other people think. The back door, drivers side, the lock is a bit dodgy and seems to only unlock sometimes. But also sometimes when I lock the car all the windows open, (both front, both rear). Could anybody please shed some light on this? Man,get your remote locking cheaked as it may be the coz. There is a facility when using your key in the door lock to roll your windows up. This is done by keeping the key turned in the lock direction. This action activates a relay, if you are getting the reverse then it is fair to say that relay is probably faulty. The relays are behind the panel to the right of the steering wheel near the fuse box. If you hold it in the lock position it will put then up. DONT need a/c. i drive my 1970 bug every day and have never wanted an a/c. 3) More trouble than its worth! Do the new VW beetles have low bucket seats ? I have 2003 vw beetle and am getting custom seat covers made and neede to know if it had low bucket seats and how you were able to tell ? Seat covers are usually universal fit and the only criteria is the headrests. Most cars are a kind of semi bucket seat and the sports derivative tend to have bucket seats. Bucket seats have a built up section either side on the base and small "wings" protruding forward on the seat back that fit snugly against your rib cage.
