The return of the Golf R Wagon to the line-up provides a new halo variant for Volkswagen's perennially class-leading compact car. The limited edition of 150 Golf GTI Performance Edition 1 sees the return the 3-door Golf hot hatch. The expanded Golf Alltrack range brings 4MOTION all-wheel-drive to its lowest price point and - in response to demand - gives the Golf range its most potent diesel to date. There are 300 examples each of the Golf R Wolfsburg Edition hatch and Wagon available from late August. Pricing is being finalised. The Golf R Wagon returns permanently to the line-up in the New Year. Volkswagen Group Australia Managing Director Michael Bartsch says. None of them can match the inherent value of owning a Volkswagen Golf - the world's most sophisticated affordable car. In addition to the 110TSI engine, diesel becomes an option in the Highline hatchback and Wagon, with the availability Volkswagen's 2.0-litre 110kW/340Nm turbo diesel with 7-speed DSG. The Golf R Wolfsburg Edition comes as either hatchback or Wagon with 7-speed DSG. Pricing will be announced shortly.
