Making that hot hatch even hotter. Volkswagen鈥檚 sixth-generation GTI carries on the DNA of the hot hatch that the brand is known for, wonderfully. It鈥檚 packed with power, nimble, and perfect for speeding around the town. It鈥檚 the perfect formula for success and there鈥檚 quite a large aftermarket dedicated to making this hot hatch even better. Everything from the engine to the interior can be upgraded and this MKVI GTI has all sorts of fun stuff from its BBS wheels to a rumbling exhaust system. This manual-transmission-equipped 2011 Volkswagen GTI is ready to rock thanks to a wide range of upgrades from under the hood and out. The 2.0-liter, turbocharged engine benefits from all sorts of modifications. An APR Stage II tune, resonated downpipe with SPM street catback exhaust system, APR stage I and II intake, and GFB diverter valve to help boost power. The drivetrain sends the additional power down to the BBS wheels more effectively thanks to a new VF Engineering short shift, kit, new shift bushings, and Stage 2 Southbend clutch. Putting all of that extra power isn鈥檛 always an easy task. So, a new set of BBS wheels were installed in a wider stance to provide a bigger footprint with style. A set of four BBS CO wheels were chosen for the job and were installed in a wide 18 x 8.0 ET 44 at the front and rear. Each of the BBS wheels was fitted with 255/40/18 Kumho Ecsta Le Sport tires to grab onto the pavement. Behind those BBS wheels sit a few suspension goodies to sharpen up handling. A Neuspeed rear sway bar helps to reduce body roll along with Whiteline endlinks. For a proper fitment and lower center of gravity, the GTI was equipped with a KONI coilover setup. To finish off the styling aspect of the GTI, a new OEM front lip and OEM LED taillights were fitted.
