VW Offers MEB Platform To E.Go

German startup e.Go Mobile has become the first partner for the Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular platform for electric vehicles. Go, which specialises in a range of autonomous and electric transport, will use the platform to reduce costs and help it bring EVs to the market. It has not yet been confirmed by either party what vehicles will utilise the MEB platform. This year, VW announced that it would offer its MEB to rival automakers, in the hope of pushing global e-mobility. The German manufacturer has also teamed up with Ford to explore the joint-development of EVs. VW’s new direction comes off the back of the company’s huge €30 billion investment in e-mobility until 2023 - announced the Geneva Motor Show.
