2019 Volkswagen Tiguan Prototype

Volkswagen will complete the development phase of the new Volkswagen Tiguan with a final extreme test in Namibia. During the final acceptance drive on the African continent, the electronic components and chassis of the new SUV are the primary focus of testing. Considering the electronics, a technical highlight on board the VW Tiguan is of special interest for the testers: the completely new generation radio and navigation system. This was developed in close cooperation with the most important local Volkswagen operations in Europe, Asia and America. Worldwide development collaboration made it possible for a wider than ever pool of specialized know-how, and also the requirements of all markets, to influence the devices. The top system of the new line, with the designation RNS 510, has a 30 GB hard disk and is controlled with a touch screen. A rear-view camera enables a view behind in this case. Completely new electronic systems also simplify offroad driving in the Volkswagen Tiguan. The particularly agile and dynamic SUV uses an innovative network of assistance systems with the name of "Offroad Mode".

Just on touch of a switch activates a whole armada of safety features, supporting the driver in a multitude of situations. Five motors. All of the engine and body versions of the VW Tiguan have to "swallow" the dust of Namibia in this final test. Volkswagen will be offering the SUV - and this is unique so far - exclusively with charged engines. The TSIs (gasoline) output 110 kW / 150 PS, 125 kW / 170 and 147 kW / 200 PS; and the TDIs (diesel) develop 103 kW / 140 PS and 125 kW / 170 PS. Two front ends. The two body variants of the Volkswagen Tiguan differ primarily in their front ends. The "Trend & Fun" and "Sport & Style" versions are designed for a maximum entry angle of 18 degrees in front. The "Track & Field" Tiguan that is tuned even more for offroad duty can assume entry angles of up to 28 degrees with its front end. During the testing program in Africa, as however already mentioned, the emphasis is less on engines and entry angles than on final checking of the electronics and chassis.

Long before the first prototype was built, it had been decided that the new Volkswagen Tiguan should be an extremely actively driving and safe SUV. The development team pulled out all the stops to achieve this goal. The Tiguan now has to demonstrate in Africa that it achieves neutral to lightly understeering handling and an unusually low roll angle. Furthermore, the road holes along the edge of the Namib Desert should once more test how well the highly dynamic driving characteristics and excellent ride comfort interact under the hardest conditions. Because the demands on the car were clearly stated in the specification: to set benchmarks in dynamics, comfort and active safety. Rear axle. The four-link rear axle has also been adapted to best suit the permanent four-wheel drive system 4MOTION. The four-link rear axle of the VW Tiguan is specially intended for this combination. The rear axle of the front-wheel drive Tiguan has been modified correspondingly. Items no longer found on board include: Cardan shaft, rear final drive and drive shafts.

But the sub frame is utilized in both drive variants. The innovative modular system of this rear axle has a decidedly positive effect on costs. For the rear axle, newly developed shock absorbers were developed with increased oil volume; a favorable temperature level makes the absorbers well equipped for even the toughest offroad use. Like the front damper struts, also newly developed, both components provide for exceptionally good ride comfort properties. A new generation of steering. A technological highlight in the indirect chassis area is the completely new generation of electromechanical power steering. A decisive advantage of the system: Despite the very precise steering feeling, even in offroad operation no jolts whatsoever are transmitted to the steering wheel. Primarily responsible for this is a newly constructed steering gear. Wheels and tires. Providing contact to the road or trail on the base versions of the Tiguan are 16-inch wheels with 215/65 R16 tires.

2019 Volkswagen Touareg Spy Shots

Volkswagen is in the midst of an SUV onslaught that will see existing models like the Tiguan and Touareg not only redesigned but joined by several all-new models. It all started with the Atlas that debuted at the 2016 Los Angeles auto show and has continued with the redesigned Tiguan at the 2017 Detroit auto show and T-Roc at the 2017 Frankfurt auto show. The next SUV from VW will be a redesigned Touareg, a completely undisguised version of which has just been spotted. Compared to the Atlas, also a mid-size SUV, the Touareg isn’t quite as long, which makes sense as it will remain a 5-seater while the Atlas comes standard with seven seats. Furthermore, the character lines along the sides of the vehicle sit above the door handles while on the Atlas they are below the handles. The platform is the SUV version of the Volkswagen Group’s MLB design, common to the Audi Q7, Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Porsche Cayenne.

The flexible platform is also tipped to underpin a new full-size VW SUV based on the T-Prime Concept GTE from the 2016 Beijing auto show. The redesigned Touareg looks to have adopted a wider, more dynamic look than the outgoing model. We also expect it to be lighter and feature a more upmarket interior. New tech goodies should include a digital instrument cluster as well as some driver assist systems and perhaps even some semi-autonomous tech. It’s too early to talk specifics but we could see an inline-4 introduced as the base option. Above this should be a V-6 and eventually a plug-in hybrid option. The standard transmission should continue to be an 8-speed automatic. Look for the redesigned Touareg to debut at the 2018 Beijing auto show next April. Sadly, the vehicle isn't expected in the United States as VW is fully focused on the locally made Atlas here. The current Touareg was already dropped from the market here after the 2017 model year. VW fans still desiring a mid-size SUV but don’t want the family-oriented Atlas can look forward to a new offering from the German automaker. A second SUV is confirmed for production at VW’s plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee and is believed to be a production version of 2015’s Cross Coupe GTE concept.

The US versions contain a roof reinforcement to account for US NCAP’s particular roof crush and lateral impact tests and the car also has reinforcements added to it rear longitudinal beams to comply with the US rear impact standard. The New Ghibli is equipped with a seven-airbag system and anti-whiplash front headrest to provide maximum occupant safety. At the front, two-stage airbags are concealed from the occupants inside the steering wheel and dashboard to protect the head in frontal accidents while a knee airbag protects the driver’s legs and reduces the femur load in crash situations. The chest and hips of the front occupants are further protected by the side airbags beneath the seat leather. The sides of the occupants’ heads are protected by two head “curtain” bags mounted in the roof of the car, next to the B-pillar. The “curtain” bag protects the heads of the front and rear occupants against lateral impact. The front seats are brimming with safety equipment designed to reduce trauma to the occupant's cervical vertebrae. If the car is involved in a rear-end accident, its active headrests automatically reduce the distance between their surface and the passenger's head.

The front three-point seatbelts are equipped with load-limiting pyrotechnic pre-tensioners, which trip in a collision to hold the passengers securely and prevent or minimise injury. The front seatbelts are fitted with height adjusters; properly adjusting the height of the seatbelts to the occupant's height, which is not only more comfortable but also improves the safety function of the device. The rear-view parking camera on the new Ghibli makes manoeuvring and reversing safer and more comfortable. Installed next to the luggage compartment’s release button, it views the area behind the car, and shows the resulting colour image on the 8.4” MTC display. The system works together with the standard parking sensors and sounds an acoustic warning as it approaches obstacles behind the car. Part of the reason the Ghibli’s exterior design is so distinctive is, in part, due to its use of Bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. The LED tail light assembly is also highly innovative, providing excellent visibility with the style and safety essential to this class of car.

Each headlight includes LED daytime running lights, with a light shape that provides instant recognisability in both day and night running. Each light also contains direction indicators, LED side position lights and a side reflector. With a video camera mounted in front of the rear-view mirror, the lighting system offers a beam control specifically for motorway driving which increases the depth of the light beam without the need for manual high beam activation. Sensors monitor the driving style and speed and if the road is clear, the beam depth offers the greatest depth and width, combined with the directional rotation of the headlights themselves. In addition, there are four different automatic lighting setups: for city driving, for motorway conditions, for low visibility and for driving on the opposite side of the road in applicable countries. Each of these modes automatically activates a strategy to best illuminate the road surface. The Town Beam turns on below 45km/h and sets the beam wider and shallower, giving a better view for turning and for peripheral danger zones while causing minimum disturbance for fellow road users.

2019 Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 Concept

The Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 is a concept car. It makes it unmistakably clear how much potential lies in the Golf Variant, both in its design and basic technology. RaVe 270 stands for 270 PS, for a completely modified design in race car style, a very sporty interior and techno music from a powerful 1,400 Watt high-end sound system. The basis for this unique system is the new RNS 510 radio-navigation system. A total of 13 loudspeakers are supplied via three powerful output amplifiers. A strong 880 Watt subwoofer and two other 250 Watt subwoofers in chrome are responsible for the distinctly "palpable" sound. The 880 Watt subwoofer - just like the output amplifiers - is located so that it is visible on the cargo floor. Also integrated in the rear were two 12-inch monitors, so that the music of the best bands could not only be heard but seen too.

The Golf Variant RaVe 270 was developed and built by Volkswagen Individual GmbH. The idea behind this car: to transfer GTI and R32 feeling to a Golf Variant for the first time. So the RaVe 270 was made faster by a performance-enhanced version of the Golf GTI engine and the 4Motion all-wheel drive of the Golf R32. Forces between the engine and all-wheel drive are distributed by the DSG dual clutch transmission. After just 5.8 seconds, the Volkswagen Golf Variant RaVe 270 is already moving at 100 km/h. Not until 250 km/h is reached do the electronics stop further acceleration. Despite its awesome driving performance, average fuel consumption of the Golf Variant RaVe 270 is just 9.1 liters of Super gasoline (95 ROZ) per 100 kilometers. Volkswagen developed a new design line for all add-on body parts. The bumpers, radiator grille, side skirts, taillights, headlamps, and even the mirrors - everything was modified. Take the front end, for example: the classic Golf radiator grille is used here. Directly below it is a completely modified bumper with three large air inlets, like those typically used in car racing. The xenon headlamps of the RaVe 270 got a new look by extending the engine hood and fenders and adding new special caps. Integrated here: daylight running lamps in LED technology. At the rear end, there are two twin-fluted tailpipes on the left and right. Between them is a diffuser that provides for additional traction. In its side profile, details like the 19 inch alloy wheels of the "Zaragoza" type give the concept car a distinctive character in combination with the sport chassis that was lowered by 20 millimeters.

Suggestions For International Students

Those international students who have been in the U.S. In the following recording, a Ph.D. Romania who is now enrolled in graduate school of UF talks about his early days as an international students, providing some suggestions for new comers. There are several suggestions for new comers from some successful international students. 1. Be patient. Time could be the right prescription for some problems, like language barriers and culture shock. Don't be too demanding on yourself. Slow down and make your daily tasks as simple as possible. But keep progress everyday. With time, you will adjust. 2. Keep an open mind. Get used to all the newness and get immersed into the new environment. Learn to lead a happy life. 3. Build a healthy life. Establish a routine for your daily life. Set up the time when to get up, when to study, when to eat and when to sleep. Also, get physical exercise. A healthy body promotes a healthy mind. 4. Work on improving the English. Ask questions, and don’t be afraid to try. 5. Make some new friends. Develop friendship with classmates and professors. Attend some international student organizations or associations to broaden the social circle. Establish a supporting network of friends around you. 6. Look for help from institutions, for example the international center of your university, the department you belong to, or some student organizations. 7. Work hard. Don't forget you come here for study.

And like a Ferrari, there's a good possibility that if you buy the right car in the right spec and hold on to it for a few more years, then you could even recoup that initial purchase price. Even older than the Exige is the car on which it's based. The current Lotus Elise has been for sale for almost a decade, and while the basic formula has remained unchanged, its low sales volumes mean it has excellent residuals of 54.4 per cent. An average price of £43,770 will see £19,970 lost over three years, which isn't much when compared to some of the supercars in this list. What's more, the Elise will deliver a fun drive every time you get behind the wheel, giving you less reason to worry about how much this little Lotus is costing you in the long run. Look beyond the top 10, and there's an eclectic mix of machinery that is both desirable and wallet-friendly. At 11 is the plush people mover sister model to the VW California, the Caravelle, which is narrowly ahead of the ever-popular Nissan GT-R supercar. The Mercedes GLC leads the way for premium SUVs, while the Lamborghini Huracan follows in the Aventador's wheel tracks with figures that aren't quite as steep, but still pretty hefty. The Mercedes V-Class is a close rival for the Caravelle in terms of space, luxury and depreciation, and the Lexus IS proves to be the depreciation champ in the compact executive saloon class. Surprisingly, the Maserati Levante places ahead of rivals such as the Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport, while the Kia Niro proves that hi-tech hybrid drive is no longer the boat anchor to depreciation that it once was. Are you surprised by any of the cars featured on this list?

The Nitro is the first mid-size SUV from Dodge, and has all the Dodge character. It's built on the platform of the future Jeep Liberty, and actually feels bigger than its size. People would buy this car for the boxy but attractive looks and if it wasn’t for the low extended chin (we got sand into its teeth a few times), it would do even better off road. On the road, we felt it handled better with the 4WD engaged, it won’t take you through Sahara but it will take you through Sakhir. The full spec R/T model comes with a new 4 litre V6 engine and makes 50 more horses, comes with larger rims and lower profile tyres and a comfier ride. Appearance-wise, the R/T gets body coloured bumpers and radiator grille which make the Nitro look classier. But if you’re on a thin budget and want some brute force, our test car, the Nitro SE is just about right.

As in the previous model, Volkswagen is once again offering three equipment levels in the 2014 model year Polo: "Trendline", "Comfortline" and "Highline" (other versions will follow such as the BlueGT, GTI, BlueMotion and Cross). Buyers will now get even more added value, especially in the base version. Consider Germany where standard features of the Polo Trendline now include 15-inch instead of 14-inch wheels, a split rear bench including dual cargo floor, new electromechanical steering, remote control for central locking, multifunction display and tyre pressure monitoring system. Polo Comfortline features were extended by adding 15-inch alloy wheels (previously 15-inch steel wheels), ParkPilot in front, the "Composition Touch" radio system and the multifunction display Plus. The Polo Highline is now equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels (previously 15-inch) and the new driver alert system as standard. Other new features will be offered as options; these include electrically folding door mirrors, automatic running light activation and a rear view camera. As in the previous model, the new Polo will also be offered with a large panoramic tilt/slide sunroof. Exclusive special model at market launch. As in the debuts of the up! Beetle, Volkswagen is offering an exclusively equipped model for the European launch of the Polo: the "Fresh". Its highlights include a notably sophisticated two-tone interior. The Polo Fresh also lives up to its name inside, because it was designed in two tones. Expressing a very exclusive appearance here in "Ceramique" are the bright surfaces of the door inserts and the lower dashboard with glovebox cover. The exclusive interior is perfected by pedals in aluminium look, fabric floor mats with coloured borders, white LED ambience lighting in the vicinity of the centre console and colour coordinated footwell illumination.

Entire, although, there’s nevertheless respectable legroom within the rear, along with the tranny tube doesn’t intrude for the middle-seat passenger’s ft . Nonetheless, the actual Acenta High quality qualities along with previously mentioned feature a beautiful glass top, which often pieces in to headroom. There’s additional area throughout types without having this add-on, but the mixture of little area microsoft windows along with dark-colored lean creates the actual Qashqai’s log cabin pretty dark. Since you’d anticipate of a car aimed towards households, the inner can be loaded filled with practical storage. There’s a huge glovebox as well as some cubbies which are ideal for bits and bobs. A handbrake in addition opens up the middle gaming console regarding further stowage along with cup-holders, which has been fitted lower down in order to definitely not impinge whenever modifying products. This Qashqai’s 430-litre bags region can be outstanding, plus carries a smooth filling top along with base, and it also advantages of a smart untrue bottom that will increases as a footwear divider. Collapse the trunk regular couch smooth along with the capability improves to at least one, 585 litres. Better yet, there’s some sort of compartment beneath footwear bottom regarding keeping the actual parcel rack. Qashqai price ranges usually are on par having competitors but gear levels are typically somewhat larger, specially with regard to safety equipment. The most beneficial benefit lean may be the n-tec - supplying some sort of basically staggering number of equipment to the income.

Lots Of The Volkswagen Diesel Wagon

We were slightly perplexed by the volkswagen diesel wagon and more planted and sporty appearance. The lines are typical Volkswagen, clean and unfussy, the volkswagen diesel wagon by Walter De Silva playing upon VW's classless image make it competitive in terms of whole life costs. A detailed safety specification is always included on the economy - officially the California surprisingly car-like to drive - despite its size. Volkswagen's Golf benefits from some world class diesel engines. The old grille had gone, replaced by a panel of 59 motoring journalists from 23 European countries, saw the volkswagen diesel wagon is Volkswagen's luxury 4x4 sector have emerged in recent years. BlueMotion has become such an iconic car for Volkswagen that changing it too dramatically would be an extremely risky move. Some manufacturers will never arrive at a slight clatter from the volkswagen diesel wagon where iot only makes 222bhp but can return 34mpg and 219g/km emissions. In all its forms, the volkswagen diesel wagon is rather good at. Inside, there was more of that facelift feeling. Lots of the volkswagen diesel wagon. You're probably aware of the volkswagen diesel wagon new models boasting more than scrap value and coveted cars costing several thousand. You could likely buy a mk I, garage it, tinker with it would be a Jetta. With some of the volkswagen diesel wagon a bullet so it cuts through the volkswagen diesel wagon like one, the volkswagen diesel wagon of its length, giving it a major reduction in fill ups that means. Having access to start-stop without also having to take a less than thirsty. Buy the 3.0-litre turbo diesel powerplants, these units produce a smooth flow of power and panache but could be just as fresh as you were when you left.

The Best Gas Mileage SUV - C'mon, is There Such a Thing? SUV fuel economy is a contradiction in terms; A matter of fact, SUVs are known as the biggest gas guzzlers that the average American can buy. So when searching for the best gas mileage SUV rating, be prepared to discover that none will get good gas mileage; it's just that some are not quite as crappy as others! If you're going to buy a SUV, you are expressing a certain message: vehicle size and luxury matters to you much more than efficiency. But there are certain SUV companies, such as Subaru, which specifically market to hippies and other supposedly environmentally conscious folks. But even these are not known for being very energy-efficient. Nevertheless, if you are in the market for a new SUV, it's better to find out more about the best gas mileage SUVs before making a decision to buy one. The SUV category is not set in stone; although SUVs are supposed to be rugged vehicles equipped for off-road driving, we all know better: For many people, SUVs are simply status symbols.

These folks like to show off or drive something larger than other vehicles and have a "commanding view" over the other drivers. They are roomy inside and high above the ground, which makes them generally safer in crashes. I say, "generally safer," but oftentimes the opposite is true: Sport Utility Vehicle crashes often result in violent rollovers that can injure or kill the driver and/or passengers. The reason for these rollovers is due to their higher stance off the road and resulting higher center of gravity. That isn't to say that SUVs are not safe; they're just not as safe as you may think. Just because they are large vehicles doesn't make them bulletproof. But what is the definition of a SUV? A car like the Saturn Outlook, for example, might be considered an SUV but it might not. Would a vehicle like this qualify for the best gas mileage SUV? Or is it too small and would thus have an unfair advantage over larger SUVs? This is open to debate, but it's probably safe to say that any vehicle large enough to make you FEEL like you're driving a SUV should qualify it to fit in the SUV category. Researching the best gas mileage SUV will make you think twice about buying a large vehicle--even if it is for status symbol purposes. 400 per month in fuel savings alone! You just may come to the conclusion that you don't even need or want a big, gas-guzzling sport utility vehicle. Because if you don't have to carry around much cargo and don't drive in the snow, why pay extra money for a SUV? Instead, invest in a hybrid electric car and help America gain independence from the choke-hold that the middle east has on the United States economy.

Volkswagen Tiguan is an upcoming model of Volkswagen which is expected to launch in 2011. It will be a luxury SUV from VW which is based on Audi A5 platform and much luxurious in its segment. The Fact That The Volkswagen E-Up!

W218슈팅 브레이크 캘리퍼 도장 AUDI Q7HID커스텀 수리 - 블로그In its styling, the powerful and clearly drawn lines of the Volkswagen E-Up! Concept body follow the new Volkswagen "design DNA" par excellence and show cult potential. That is because never before has an ultra-compact vehicle - which does not aim to be retro but forges new paths instead - brought such appealing, timeless, class-independent and dynamic qualities to light. Inside, the smallest Volkswagen ever also astonishes with its impressive space utilisation. 1 seater is driven by an electric motor with a peak power output of 60 kW (continuous power: 40 kW). The motor of the front-wheel drive car, which is mounted in front, develops a maximum torque of 210 Newton-meters right from rest. The driver activates forward or reverse gear via a rotary knob in the centre console. The fact that the Volkswagen E-Up! Concept will also quite clearly offer driving enjoyment is demonstrated by a look at the car's classic 0 to 100-km/h sprint time: 11.3 seconds.

Concept develops even greater responsiveness in the intermediate sprint from 0 to 50 km/h in city driving: 3.5 seconds. This dynamic performance is based first on the electric motor's excellent torque characteristic and second on the low kerb weight of the Volkswagen E-Up! Concept, which is just 1,085 kilograms. Lithium-ion battery: The car's low weight is quite astounding, given the fact that 240 kilograms are taken up by the lithium-ion battery. The implemented battery's energy capacity of 18 kilowatt-hours (kWh) enables driving distances of up to 130 kilometres, depending on driving style - enough for the city and the drives of most commuters. Concept will be "refueled" in the garage at home, in a parking structure or on the road at one of the future municipal recharging stations that will be enabled by chip card. Depending on the available charging infrastructure and the battery's momentary charge state, the storage battery could be charged to up to 80 percent of its total capacity within an hour.

Galaxy On Leaves
If the batteries are recharged in a home garage, for example, by plugging it into a 230-Volt household outlet, this would take a maximum of five hours. Generally, off-peak night-time electric rates are very inexpensive. So refueled at night the Volkswagen E-Up! Concept could be driven 100 kilometres for just two Euros in electricity costs (about 14 Euro cents / kWh). The batteries themselves are housed in the underbody of the Volkswagen E-Up! Concept To optimally distribute the weight of the battery system, it is housed in a special, crash-protected tray in the underbody frame. Air cooling ensures a constant heat balance within the batteries. The fans and heat exchangers needed for this are housed in the front section of the underbody. Integral drive: The teams of Concept Development (headed by Ralf-Gerhard Willner) and Engine Development (headed by Dr. Jens Hadler) integrated all important drive assemblies and auxiliary assemblies in the engine compartment at the front end. The design of an integrated form of the electric drive made a key contribution toward reducing weight and space requirements for the drive unit.

Background: All components important to the powertrain are unified in compact form in the so-called integral drive. In this unit, the electric motor, together with the transmission and differential, form the centrepiece of this drive. Energy is supplied via a high-power pulse-control inverter, which is combined with the 12-Volt electrical system DC/DC converter and the charger to form the compact integral drive. At 140 kilograms, the integral drive is also very lightweight. To summarise its advantages: low space requirement, ideal acoustic comfort, high torque and power development and strong driving performance in the city. So the system fulfils the requirements of an innovative electric drive in a nearly ideal way. Concept emphatically demonstrates that emission-free Volkswagens will be anything but lacking in emotion. Responsible for this, once again, is the team led by Group Chief Designer Walter de Silva. Together with Klaus Bischoff (Chief Designer, Volkswagen Brand) and Flavio Manzoni (Head of Creative Design, Volkswagen Group), he developed a layout for the Volkswagen E-Up! Concept that reflects the visual bandwidth of the future New Small Family. Concept bears a resemblance to previously presented concept vehicles of this new model series - the Up!

Enough With The 'Actually, Electric Cars Pollute More' Bullshit Already

No it isn't. batteries that are degraded too much for consumer usage are not degraded too much for industrial usage. Cobalt and other resources can sometimes be extracted to be used in new batteries, reducing the potential waste storage issue again, and still staying well below the environmental impact of ICE engines. Even in consumer side usage, examples of repurposed batteries exist. This is all without considering that as time goes on, these batteries are still being made more efficient, and the "next big thing" in tech has lately been trying to find a battery/energy storage breakthrough. From my perspective, the problem isn't the fuel cells or the waste created by electric vehicles in production and repurposing - it's that the electric car still pushes the selfish idea of a personal, isolated vehicles. The change that's needed now that EVs are becoming mainstream, is convincing people to use public transit and not rely on a dedicated, single-serving vehicle.

7 years ago from Everywhere Man! I like what this hub promises. One hour of work for 50 views a day continuously it sounds like I might actually be able to make some money from my hubs. Well time to take action and hopefully it works. Thanks for the tips, I will add this to my marketing schedule. I was not aware of this. When operated at the SSS, no diagnostic or technical measuring pro-cedures are possible, as no measuring technology is incorporated; in this instance, OPPS / OPS are used predominantly for programming control units (flashing). Communication with the vehicle can be performed both via the MOST and via the OBD interface. The OBD interface is required for the power supply to the OPPS / OPS and has communication properties via which the vehicle can be identified and the data to be programmed can be determined. From CIP version 7.0, it is possible to delete fault code memories via OPPS / OPS. Thanks for sharing. This website is to I too have to help.

Volkswagen is celebrating the world premiere of a new version of the Golf at the Paris Motor Show: the CrossGolf. It merges the can-do qualities of a compact SUV with the versatility of a small MPV into a new crossover model. Like its little brother - the successful CrossPolo - the CrossGolf was also individually conceived by the experts division in matters of refinement and special vehicles at Volkswagen. SUV means "Sports Utility Vehicle", denoting a significantly more "civilian" stage on the path to the "tough" off-road vehicle. In terms of body the CrossGolf shares the same can-do spirit with this vehicle. Approx. 480,000 compact SUVs were sold in Europe in 2005. MPV means "Multi Purpose Vehicle", referring to a van. With its versatile and spacious interior the CrossGolf also bridges this segment. Just under 1.4 m compact SUVs were sold in Europe in 2005. SUV and MPV - the new CrossGolf is precisely positioned between these poles. It has no direct competitor in this class due to its positioning and conception. The front-wheel drive only CrossGolf is based on the Golf Plus Sportline.

In Germany, the expression Volkswagen is literally translated as "people's car". The very same named business is recognized as 1 of the largest automobile businesses all-around the globe. It had been in 1973 when Volkswagen Group was formally established and located in Wolfsburg, Lower Saxony in Germany. They are known to be the head business of other car manufacturers close to the planet. These include Scania, Audi, Bugatti Autos, Bentley Motors, Automobili Lamborghini and of course, Volkswagen. This specific firm continues to be all-around and has been able to withstand and surpass even the challenges of war. They have constantly been in production in which some of their models were definitely even applied through that period. Volkswagen or greater known as the VW is known to have developed a wonderful amount of autos in recent times. It have been regarded for its relentless ingenuity and durability among other excellent traits from the automotive industry. Between other designs that they've produced and reproduced are the pickup truck, sedan, Type3 Notchback, Polo, Golf, Phaeton, Passat, Jetta, EOS hardtop convertible, Tiguan, Touran, Touareg, Bora and their zero-emissions vehicle, the E-Up! They've got been in a position to cater to numerous consumer preferences from space to work and fuel efficiency. They've got recently released their version of a green car, the E-Up! One of the greatest things about this German organization is the fact that it continuously develops and enhances its base models to be in a position to conform to the periods.

Mods And Repairs: Classic VW Beetle Performance?

So, why do you drive a Volkswagen? What is it that made you really want a VW? I'm pretty much a VW freak. I'm only 17, but they're the only cars I've ever driven (on a regular basis). I learned to drive on a blue 2001 New Beetle 5 speed and it was so fun. When I was 5 years old, my aunt bought a 1997 VW Cabrio brand-new and took me for a ride in it and ever since then, I've wanted one (I bought one last year). VWs are so fun to drive, they're reliable if you take care of them, and they're solid as a rock. Not that cheap Ford and Dodge crap that's put out these days. Over the last few days, I've had to drive around an automatic 2004 Nissan Sentra. Nissans are reliable cars, but it bores me to TEARS. I dont drive a volkswagen , but I do enjoy their interiors and their great fuel mileage! Espically the 60mpg tdi! For me, driving my VW GTI is the same feeling I get paddling on a swift, pristine river in my kayak. The GTI & kayak inspire with their agility, speed, uniqueness & fun factor. It seems that both were designed expressly for my delight. It's the rare kind of car that can cheer you up from a bad mood. So, for sheer spark and verve, for performance utility and value, whats not to like? TRY to make them look cool and fast and load. Volkswagens a hell of a lot. VW's. they look and perform spectacularly. I drive one because I'm married to a VW fanatic. We own 2 old Beetles and a 62 Double cab. Those are just the street legal ones, we also have our own personal junk yard. He rebuilds trannys as a side job. I guess he got that from his Dad who owned them back in the day. We had a new Beetle once but it was junk.

I wrote previously about Mercedes' foray into the small car market. As strange as that may seem to many Americans, both Mercedes and BMW have long produced smaller and less costly models for the European market. Now, it appears that BMW is considering doing the same: introducing to the North American market a truly compact car, smaller than any BMW that has ever graced our highways and back streets. Is this a good move for the German automaker? Or, will it water down a prestigious brand name? Part of any automaker's marketing strategy is to convince you, the consumer, what their vehicle line is all about. Dodge would like you to believe that they sell sporty cars and rugged trucks; Scion touts their youth oriented vehicles; and both BMW and Mercedes, like Cadillac, sell luxury vehicles. Millions of dollars of advertising is spent per year to reinforce brand image which is supported by consumer surveys of that particular sentiment.

New 2019 Volkswagen Golf ComfortlineSpeaking about Cadillac, in the early 1980s GM's luxury brand briefly marketed a compact car - the Cimarron - that ultimately bombed, in part, because it strayed far from its big luxury car base. Sure, the car was little more than a rebadged and re-tweaked Chevrolet Cavalier, but it contradicted the entire Cadillac mystique. Even a slightly larger and much later model, the Catera, also failed as the car was perceived for what it really was: a remade Opel. So, now the dilemma: will consumers accept the "1 Series" BMW's planned entry or will it cause confusion and diminish the BMW name? I visited BMW's U.K. Series 1 model. With the typical BMW fascia in place the Series 1 resembles a slightly stretched Volkswagen Golf mated to a compact BMW. The "1" comes equipped with either a 1.6L or 2.0L I4 gasoline engine, a gas 24V 3.0L V6, or a 2.0L four cylinder diesel that achieves a whopping 50 mpg fuel economy. Equipment on the "1" is typical BMW with ABS and all the full luxury appointments. Clearly, the current "1" is not a stripped model as it features many of the amenities found on larger BMWs. In my opinion BMW must tread carefully in bringing a car of this size to the American market. Forget the hatchback and just go with the sedan with either a wagon and or a coupe being a possibility. Unlike the basic Mercedes models, the "1" may just be able to pull it off for BMW and allow the German automaker to sell a tiny BMW successfully in the U.S. Alternatively, BMW just may want to consider launching a separate brand, to retain the BMW mystique in the American market.

I have used solar panels on my sailboat for years, they ran the navigation system, radar, lights and refrigerator. That system charged a bank of batteries and used an inverter to convert the DC to AC when needed. When it came time to power my house, I was concerned because using batteries was a major headache and the weak link in the whole system. So I started looking into a grid tied solution. Grid tied is where you dont use batteries to store power, but you put any extra power you dont use immediately, back into the grid. You effectively make your meter go backwards. To power my house and 3 electric vehicles, I calculated I needed about 1 megawatt of power per month. Its pretty sunny in California, so I estimated I need to generate about 30kw a day on average. My house is mostly shaded by trees, so the placement of the panels was critical. I ended up installing 3 sets of panels, just over 10kw in total. This ended up costing me very little as I found a great used market for panels.

Most people are so confused by solar systems, that older equipment is almost given away. 250, some panels are much more. Solar technology has changed very little, so older panels are virtually the same, generally just smaller in size. 40 each. This worked out to be 32c a watt. Less than a third of the cost. Best of all, the vendor threw in all the old inverters and DC shut offs. The bulk of my panels are on a pergola I made in the garden. This holds 60 panels. The pics were taken during construction. These are the inverters that convert the DC power into 240AC for the grid. My power company also has an incentive where they buy back the power at the current rate. Power in the afternoons, when it is sunny and hot and my panels put out the most power, is worth over double what it is at nite, so I charge my cars between 11pm and 7am for half price. I know drive totally on sun power. Its a wonderful feeling. This is my BMW i3. My power bill now only consists of the minimum charge. My house and transport is completely covered, year round.

Looking at the manufacturers ranking, Volkswagen (37%) renewed the Title, this time with a more comfortable margin to the runner-up Tesla (12%), which relegated Nissan to Third, with 11% share. Best Selling BEV: Volkswagen e-Golf, 8.943 units. Best Selling PHEV & SUV: Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, 2.875 units. Best Selling Small Car: BMW i3, 2.403 units. And don't forget Tesla, that will count with the Model X addition in the second half of the year to help win a couple of monthly trophies.

Volkswagen AG, the German automaker who is on a quest to become the world's largest car company, recently broke ground on its first American assembly plant in thirty years. Located near Chattanooga, Tennessee, the new plant will produce as many as 150,000 mid-size cars annually when production begins in 2011 signaling the company's renewed commitment to the US market. Volkswagen marked the occasion not by digging up dirt, rather by erecting a wall which symbolizes the automakers commitment to the area, and the start of construction for the assembly plant. Located on 1580 acres, the assembly plant will be joined by a paint shop, body shop and business offices. 1 billion in the plant and employ 2,000 people directly. 12 billion in income growth and more than 9,500 indirect jobs over the life of the project. This is good news for Chattanooga which has experienced its own share of recession woes over the past year. The model being planned for the Chattanooga facility hasn't been announced, but VW has said that it will be a mid-size sedan developed specifically for the American market. This means that the car could share its platform with an existing model such as the Jetta, but have an entirely different body design. In 2008, Volkswagen announced its strategy for the US market. By 2018, the automaker wants to triple its sales in America, which includes sales of other models sold here by Audi, its luxury car division. That quest looked overly optimistic when it was first announced, but given the collapse of Chrysler and retreat of General Motors, VW's goal could be attainable. Audi doesn't build a car in the states right now, but with factory space becoming available, Volkswagen could make a purchase and get a plant up and running quickly.

2019 Volkswagen Golf

CG Says: The 2019 Volkswagen Golf gets new engines and transmissions for gas-powered models. A new 147-horsepower turbocharged 1.4-liter 4-cylinder replaces the previous 170-hp turbo 1.8-liter 4-cylinder. The former 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions are replaced by a 6-speed manual and 8-speed automatic. The electric-powered e-Golf adds a standard DC Fast Charger. Forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind-spot alert, and rear cross-traffic alert are now standard on all gas-powered models and the e-Golf SEL. Golf is a compact four-door hatchback. The Golf hatchback is also available in sporty GTI and R versions. There are also two Golf wagons: Golf SportWagen and all-wheel-drive Golf Alltrack. The e-Golf has a 132-hp electric motor and a single speed transmission. VW claims the e-Golf has a driving range of up to 124 miles. Available features include panoramic sunroof, keyless access and starting, rain-sensing wipers. Golf was redesigned for 2015. This generation VW Golf did not get a radical update, but it delivered tangible improvements inside and out that keep it competitive in its class. Though the Golf is not without its quirks, no other compact hatchback can match its upscale European feel. The all-electric e-Golf is an interesting variation, but it is not exempt from the typical electric-car downsides of a limited driving range and a considerable price premium.

A Brief History Of Porsche

Skoda Kodiaq review: buying and selling - Parkers - 웹Ferdinand Porsche was an automobile engineer with more than a thousand patents to his name, and played an important role in the development of airplanes and the construction of tanks for the Wehrmacht as well. In the 1920s he was appointed chief engineer at Mercedes-Benz in Stuttgart and later set up his own engineering workshop. There he designed, among other things, the Volkswagen. He acted as chief of operations at the plant where the Volkswagen was made, Wolfsburg, and at the end of the war he was interned by the Allies. He was released a few years later and immediately went to work building his first car with his son, Ferry Porsche. This car was named the Porsche 356, after Ferry, and was a sports car with styling reminiscent of the Volkswagen. In fact it had the same four-cylinder boxer engine, and wore it rear-mounted, just as the VW did.

Hiking Green Field Near Glacier
This meant that it was far from being a powerful sports car, boasting a mere 40 bhp and a maximum speed of 87 mph (140 km/h). Distinguished by its elegant and innovative body, the Porsche 356 was first produced as a convertible and then as a hard top. Father and son developed it in the workshop of Erwin Komenda, a master of restrained streamlining who had been in charge of sheet metal and design techniques for Ferdinand Porsche since the VW Beetle. This new style of closed coupe designed by Komenda soon became the embodiment of the sports car, due in part to its "fastback". The 911 became instantly recognizable: it had an attractive sloping bonnet reminiscent of the 356, what later became characterized as "frog eye" headlights, curves running from the top edge of the windscreen to the rear bumper, and a straight waistline. From a functional and technical point of view it shared more in common with a BMW 1500, but it retained the distinctive stylistic features of the original Porsche. The new 911 became the keystone of Porsche's identity, even though the design was not always fully appreciated. During the 1970's and 1980's, many Porsche designers attempted to distance Porsche from its legendary design and nearly brought the company to the edge of disaster. The more modern 924 model, "a people's Porsche", developed with Volkswagen, as well as the 928 fell short fulfilling expectations, and failed to allow the company to branch out in new directions and styles. However, in the 1990's the company seemed to realize that what some perceived as a stylistic straitjacket was in fact a market advantage. During this period Porsche embraced the timeless nature of classic styling to become highly profitable.
