The Latter Could Be The 'wikipedia Community'?

The 2001 Wikipedia logo suggestions were opened by Larry Sanger in November 2001. Several logo suggestions were submitted on this page or privately to Larry Sanger, who chose the winning logo (logo 24) with community discussion. There are a half-dozen or so of the following that I would be perfectly happy with. There is one possibility that no one has yet generated, viz., the present logo with the words "Wikipedia" and possibly also "The Free Encyclopedia" superimposed, somehow. Send me your opinions either below, on this page itself, or privately in e-mail (lsanger at nupedia dot com). I will use my best judgment in coming to a decision, and do my best to make the most people happy. Comments: This needs something. I don't know what. Comments: Nice and simple, has kind of a grassroots feel to it. Comments: This image is interesting. I'm not sure about using it as a logo, but I like the image.

Well, they are too large to replace the current logo. Comments: This is just about my favorite so far. Some minor reservations, though: "the free encyclopedia" font seems a bit messy. The apples might help a bit, but something else up there might be better. Other ideas: book spine; old-fashioned key; a rocket; the outline of a forest, city, or college campus skyline; a quill; a stylized web. I get associations to fruit-flavored chewing gum. Comments: The whole 'series' is nice, though I still couldn't figure out what the apples or the city are for. The latter could be the 'wikipedia community'? General comment: many of the logos have a W in them; I don't really see the point. Just because Wikipedia starts with a W? I think a globe with letters, or a book, would be more appropriate. Actually, I kind of like our current logo. Maybe with "Wikipedia" on top and "The free encyclopedia" below? We could also have a version with a red "You can edit this page" across. Another concern is that a logo should only use very few colors since on many browsers the overall number of different colors is limited. I'd like to see logos of the sort Axel describes. To answer the question, though: yes, just because "Wikipedia" starts with a W. We don't need a better reason; it's a logo! I like the look of this one a lot. However, I suspect the wiki community at large would get after us if we used this particular version, since we're the only wiki that is an encyclopedia.

Ever since it stepped into salons, the Q5 is one of the most popular crossovers. The fame of this class could thank this model for it. As one of the pioneers, it started the revolution in the automotive industry. Now, the 2019 Audi Q5 will be arguably one of the best compact SUVs in the world. This is not by chance. The hard work, quality, persistence, innovations, are characteristics of Audi Q5 all these years. In ten years many things have changed. However, the most important is the image of crossovers. Enthusiasts found these vehicles big consumers of fuel, rigid, and not so maneuverable. The Q5 SUV in 2008 changed it. Sporty handling, improved fuel economy, and comfort drew the attention of the entire automotive world. Now, ten years later, the German carmaker still sets standards in the industry with plenty of innovations and new technologies. Plenty of changes are on the way for 2019 Audi Q5. However, only some are certain, the less have confirmation, while the most of details are rumors. However, since we could see recently the growth of hybrid and electric vehicles, there is no doubt that Audi will miss this party.

And what another vehicle to choose to test on the market but the 2019 Q5? According to reports, the crossover will get an e-tron Quattro version. Of course, there is always room for performance-boosted models, like SQ5. Yet, the most surprises Audi hides under its sleeves. We can’t imagine everything 2019 Audi Q5 could bring. The powertrain of the 2019 Audi Q5 will be a 2.0-l turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. This is the only option in the engine room. Although fans criticized this, Audi stands firm and believes in its drivetrain. Well, it performs well, and a new unit would only add some versatility. The output of this unit is 252 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. A 7-speed transmission box remains the same for next season, but engineers will try to improve it. This would lead to even better fuel economy. With some savings on weight, the 2019 Audi Q5 could achieve 30 mpg on the highway and 27 mpg combined. This is one of the official information about upcoming Audi models.

Peter Mertens, head of the development in the company confirmed the e-tron units for crossover class. Experts and fans didn’t wait for too long to start talking about 2019 Audi Q5 as the potential vehicle to get a hybrid version. Under the hood of the 2019 Audi Q5 e-tron Quattro could be a 2.0-l turbo-four engine, which is capable to produce 190 hp alone. The plug-in hybrid system also has an electric battery, that will inject 110 hp to the overall output, making the Q5 e-tron one of the most potent SUVs in the market. Also, hybrid adds 200 pound-feet of torque to existing amount. With it, the Q5 goes over 450 lb-ft. In this variation, the crossover will be able to run 30 miles on electric power only. Further plans of Peter Mertens include an all-electric vehicle. In this case, the 2019 Audi Q5 could go 300 miles without a recharge.
