Based on Tesla's quarterly reports, full 2015 totaled 50,366 units, but you are reporting about 1,000 more (51,390). Do you have an idea about the source of the discrepancy? This ranking is 95% finished, will have some fine tuning changes in the coming days and Tesla might be one of them. To think 2015 was a let down. Let's hope 2016 doesn't completely Eff-us over. Unfortunately, and most likely due to Nissan holding back sales on 2016 LEAFs for software issues. So, what happens when Nissan halts sales at the dealership level?
So. I'm sorry to say but, 2016 can suck an egg! Excluding the usual mix up, like another EV Twingo (is it the Twizy?), at least this start of the year was easy to write down. Lets HOPE, that Nissan will recover in February and that all ts potential buyers for the LEAF haven't gave up and got a Qashqai instead. Do you think that the sales of EVs will be completely dependent on Nissan Leafs sales? It have under 2015 a share of 9% and there is many new car that have come out. The biggest and fastest growing market is China and there Nissan isn't selling. I think Nissan will have a tough year in 2016, as you mentioned, a lot of stuff is going on in the EV Scene and Nissan is out of that. Oh, and personally, i would love to see an Ampera II in Europe, it would suit the needs of many and would give a welcome boost to the Opel brand perception. Interesting numbers, if the Leaf is below expectations, the Volvo XC90 T8 is way above what i expected. Oh, I forgot, there was also 1 Nisan e-NV200. How many Kia Soul was sold and how close was it to reach top 20? What I can find it sold 5800 in Europe, 1015 in USA and 657 in South Korea. That toughether would be enough to come in to top 20 and then I haven't come up in the total sales for Kia. Have Kia another EV?
Every time I climb out of the car at the end of a test, I do so with a broad grin on my face. Then I just want to get back in and continue driving. I am so happy to be able to work with Volkswagen Sweden and Volkswagen Motorsport this year. We now have the opportunity to make our dream a reality. The effort put in during pre-season preparations will pay dividends in the 2017 season. Petter’s enthusiasm is shared by team-mate Johan Kristoffersson: “To line up with Petter, PSRX and Volkswagen Sweden is perfect for me. We have to convert this perfect start into a perfect middle, and then a perfect ending.
