- Check sensor ground if the following faults are entered additionally:
P172F, P0711, P0712, P0841, P0843, P0846, P0848, P181B, check sensor ground
Fault setting conditions
- Measured pressure < threshold value (0.35 bar)
Fault effects
- Only gears 2, 4 and 6 are possible
- Protection function: Gear held and no pressure control
- Start enable only in position P
- No pressure control
- Clutch pressure < holding threshold DH-V (8.1 bar) and torque limitation
- Upward limitation of system pressure
- No emergency program diagnosis
- Driving on TG2
- White transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster
Pressure Sensor 2, Short Circuit To B+
P181B
Diagnosis information - PDK
Pressure sensor 2, short circuit to B+
Diagnostic conditions
The control unit initially tests internal function sequences when the ignition is switched on (terminal 15). If they are OK, all diagnosable outputs are
then tested and any faults are stored.
- Ignition on
- The following fault is not detected: P1706
- The following fault is not detected: P1707
Possible fault causes
- Line between pressure sensor 2 and PDK control unit faulty
- Pressure sensor 2 faulty
- PDK control unit faulty
- Clutch 2, measured oil pressure > 21 bar
Fault setting conditions
- Pressure sensor 2, signal > 4.5 V
Fault effects
- Engaged gear is held until vehicle stops
- Moving off possible only in 3rd gear
- Only gears 1, 3, 5 and 7 are possible
- Start enable only in selector lever position P
- Transmission limp-home indication in instrument cluster control unit
Pressure Sensor Clutch 2, Signal Implausible
P181B
Diagnosis information - PDK
Pressure sensor clutch 2, signal implausible
Diagnostic conditions
The control unit initially tests internal function sequences when the ignition is switched on (terminal 15). If they are OK, all diagnosable outputs are
then tested and any faults are stored.
- Ignition on
Possible fault causes
- Line between pressure sensor 2 and PDK control unit faulty
- Pressure sensor 2 faulty
- PDK control unit faulty
Fault setting conditions
- Measured pressure deviates from the internal plausibility. Permissible limit value was exceeded.
