- The plugs themselves are coded and cannot be interchanged.

Diagnostic conditions

- Perform all short tests in sequence (without Tank tightness).

or

- Lambda control Active

- Driving, at:

- small valve lift (See Actual value A220)

- large valve lift (See Actual value A220)

Possible fault causes

- Oxygen sensor(s) Ahead of catalytic converter Bank 1 and Bank 2 interchanged

P0041

P0041

Diagnosis information - Control unit DME (DFI)

Oxygen sensor(s) Behind catalytic converter interchanged

NOTE

Separated plug connection = open reference-air duct

Damage to oxygen sensor.

- DO NOT use spray grease, fluid or similar products on the oxygen sensor plug connections.

INFORMATION

- Do not interchange the oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter with the sensor behind the catalytic converter as this will result in

implausible fault entries.

- The plugs themselves are coded and cannot be interchanged.

Diagnostic conditions

- Perform all short tests in sequence (without Tank tightness).

or

- steady driving > 20 Minute(s), at:

- approx. 80 km/h

- in the highest gear

- Lambda control (Behind catalytic converter) Active

Possible fault causes

- Oxygen sensor(s) Behind catalytic converter Bank 1 and Bank 2 interchanged

P0049

P0049

Diagnosis information - Control unit DME (DFI)

Turbocharger Overspeed protection

Diagnostic conditions

- Full-throttle acceleration

Possible fault causes

- Ambient pressure too low (e.g at great height)

- Boost pressure too high (P0234) at great height

Fault setting condition(s)

- Turbocharger exceeds speed limits --> approx. 170,000... 180,000 1/min (See [Information])

Fault effects

- Reduction Engine torque
