VW To Float 10% Of Truck Unit, Seeks To Raise 1.9 Bln Euros

2.1 billion) by listing truck unit Traton, it said on Friday, scaling back earlier ambitions to list up to a quarter of the unit by opting to float a 10% stake. The German carmaker said in a statement that the offering would be priced at 27-33 euros per share, which Jefferies analysts said valued Traton at a slight discount to industry peers but at a premium to Swedish competitor Volvo. Traton Chief Executive Andreas Renschler said in a statement late on Friday after the publication of Traton's IPO prospectus. Traton said that Swedish pension fund AMF Pensionsfoersaekring AB had agreed to become a cornerstone investor in the listing and subscribe to 200 million euros worth of Traton stock. It is also seeking to capitalise on the premium that truck stocks command over automakers to create an acquisition currency, having earlier shown interest in U.S.-based truck maker Navistar. The stake size is at the bottom end of a range of 10%-20% that sources had earlier indicated. If banks running the deal exercise an over-allotment option, the issue size could reach 11.5% of Traton's equity. At the offer range, the initial public offering values Traton at 13.5-16.5 billion euros. Shares in VW closed 1.1 percent lower on Friday as analysts cautioned that Traton's potential acquisitiveness could lead to the issue of fresh equity that would dilute existing shareholdings. The carmaker is being more cautious about the volume of shares it will place after halting earlier listing plans in March, when it had planned to place a stake of up to 25% on the stock market, citing market conditions. More shares could be sold subsequently if the IPO is successful, a person familiar with the matter said this month, adding VW would remain Traton's majority shareholder for the foreseeable future. The offering will begin on Monday, with management holding a series of investor roadshows.

Is the 2010 Volkswagen GTI fast? Depends how you class "fast". Obviously, comparing it to a hyper car, it's slow (no offence). Comparing value for money, its a good quick nimble car, and can travel 148 mph. A Ford Focus RS however can do 164mph, so that is alot quicker. They dont work dont waste your money. People sell resistor and chips that are supposed to ad 40 hp and add 15mpg they are worthless. Yes, they do work, but you have to get a real tune. Those "Jet performance chips" and "Venom performance module" crap doesn't work, but a real tune does. Then again, there isn't a car made in the last 15 years that uses a chipped ECU, they all use flashable EEPROMs. What the chip or reflash does, is alter the fuel and ignition curves to make the most power. As for how much power you can gain depends on the car. Do a flash on a 1997 civic EX, and you might see 5whp. Do it on a 2004 WRX STi, and you can gain 35hp and 45ft-lb. On a mustang V8 you can gain 25-30whp for some years and models. If you want real tuning, you spend a lot of money. Since you asked in the VW section I'll answer as such. The chips work by increasing your max rpms and reworking the fuel mapping and timing. The best VW chips you can buy are either the C2 Motorsports chip from Black Forest Industries or GIAC via their website. If you look around VWVortex you will find many people are extremely happy with these brands. For newer VWs check out APR Tuning, they are kind of expensive but they are so sure you will love their product they will give you a free half hour to drive around and see for yourself.

The Jetta gains premium features like forward collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring with rear traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and lane departure warning. Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink come standard, and pair directly with VW鈥檚 Car-Net infotainment system. Under the hood, the new Jetta is powered by the same 1.4-liter turbocharged and direct-inject TSI engine found in the outgoing model. For 2019, though, it's slightly down on power - producing 147 horsepower (109 kilowatts) and 184 pound-feet (249 Newton-meters) of torque, compared to 2018's 150 hp (111 kW) and 184 lb-ft. But don't worry, a more powerful GLI version is coming. Power is sent to the front wheels exclusively via a new standard six-speed manual transmission, but buyers can opt for the new eight-speed automatic with standard stop/start technology if they so choose. The eight-speed gearbox will come standard on higher trim levels, with no manual option. The 2019 Volkswagen Jetta will be available in four different trim levels at launch: S, SE, SEL, and SEL Premium. An R-Line trim will eventually join the lineup, adding on sporty elements like minor exterior restyling, exclusive interior and exterior design elements, appropriate badging, and an XDS electronic differential.
