The transmission’s Touch Shift clutchless-manual mode will put the transmission in the appropriate gear for conditions if you want, but it wouldn’t take long for this to become tiresome. Central to the de-cluttering is a simple rotary dial and touch pad that responds to gestural inputs, swipes and handwriting. The rotary dial underneath is a much easier way of controlling the system. There’s no hesitation, even in Eco mode, which makes driving through heavy traffic easier.
