With single-car garage reviews, it’s perhaps fair and reasonable to assess any new, or newly revised, model on singular merit. It is slightly above the all-new BMW 3 Series, and significantly more than base versions of the Audi A4, Infiniti Q50, Lexus IS, Acura TLX, Volvo S60, Jaguar XE and the new, feature-rich Genesis G70. In track testing, we clocked the C350 from zero to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds, which is quick on its own merits but unremarkable compared to the BMW 335i and Infiniti G35. There’s plenty of fresh metal in the entry-luxury segment at the moment, what with the 3 Series, Infiniti G35 and Lexus IS all having undergone redesigns in the past few years. The C250 BlueEfficiency has 204 PS of power in the same 1.8L 4-cylinder engine. It uses the same 1.8L 4-cylinder engine but with the improved power output of 184 PS. It offers a power output of 306ps/6500rpm and 370Nm/3500rpm of torque output.
