I got my Golf MK2 GTI 8v up to 190Km/hr, is it good? I have a golf 1987 MK2 GTI 8v and got it up to 190Km/hr (120MPH) on the highway, is that good? I'm asking about the car's performance and not trying to show how big my balls are. It's an old car, and people say that MK2 GTI 8V have very low top speed. And I needed to get opinions to see if I should have gotten a 16V instead. Compared to aircraft, it's ridiculously slow. Compared to the speed limit, it's completely illegal, and irresponsible. So what, exactly, are you proud of? That you can hit a gas pedal really hard? Way to be a "renegade". You're certainly different than all the other kids who do exactly the same thing and brag about it, as if they've done something new. It's good, is it second hand, it might have run twice on Odm.

6 engine in it. 120 MPH is great for that car. I believe that it had 110 HP. Couple of years later VW did a 16V that upped HP to 130 I think. So yes I think the 16V would squeeze out a few more miles at top end. Now that you know what the car will do, please dont attempt it again on public roads. For your safety and others. The first car that was actually marketed for girls was the Nash Metropolitan. Nice little classic car. Little under powered especially by today's standards. But it would be a head turner if you owned one. Sounds like you need to rebuild the trans. You did not say if it was a manual or automatic.. You probably don't need a NEW tranny, but you will more than likely have to rebuild it. This same thing happened to me and I own the same car. 800.00 fix for me, but it might be even more or maybe less for you. Also, if you are not planning on getting it fixed right away, you are better off looking for another car. If your reverse gear is broken, the pieces from it are still inside and all over the place. Every time you run it like this you risk breaking even more stuff, and there is a high probability that this happens. What is a nice convertible to get? One not crazy expensive, maybe 20,000 at the MOST. USED they would be around that price range. I can say the Volkswagen Beetle would probably be around the price range if you want a compact fun car. ARE looking for a used vehicle, then you can find convertibles in that price range or an older car.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Autobahn comes with the required LATCH hardware that all cars are supposed to have. In this instance, the Golf GTI Autobahn鈥檚 LATCH systems are easy to find and use. The back seats, in particular, comes with two sets of lower anchors and three tether anchors, ensuring that you鈥檙e going to have a stress-free time installing your child鈥檚 safety seats in the back seat of the hatch. Even better, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the compact hatchback鈥檚 LATCH system a top Good rating for ease of use. I know most of you probably don鈥檛 care about LATCH systems in your cars, but for those with young children, this system is a must. It鈥檚 good to know that the Golf GTI Autobahn has that covered, too. For a car of its size, the Volkswagen Golf GTI Autobahn has one of the best and most straightforward infotainment systems in the segment. The 8-inch touchscreen display on the range-topping model is easy to learn and use.

The screen itself is responsive, the menus and options are intuitive, and the controls are all conveniently placed so you don鈥檛 have to worry about locating them or exerting too much effort trying to use them. It鈥檚 not just the infotainment system, too. HD Radio is available on all trim levels of the GTI, including the top-trim Autobahn. Likewise, the GTI also comes with six speakers, Bluetooth, a USB port, and an advanced smartphone integration that can be accessed through Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and MirrorLink. The GTI Autobahn also benefits from a number of upgrades that are exclusive to its status. The aforementioned 8-inch infotainment screen is exclusive to this trim; all other GTI versions receive the base 6.5-inch infotainment screen. The GTI Autobahn also comes with a user-friendly navigation system. Besides all of that, all versions of the Golf GTI, including the top-of-the-line Autobahn, come with ambient lighting, a rearview camera, an automatic post-collision braking system, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. I already mentioned that the Volkswagen Golf GTI Autobahn is powered by a 2.0-liter intercooled turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque.
