2019 Volkswagen Golf GTi 8v

The classic and timeless Mk2 Golf GTi. This well-cared for example has been busy but has been meticulously maintained. With the current owner having recently spent 拢4000 on it to keep it in fine order (backed-up with invoices), it is described as being in excellent mechanical condition whilst driving superbly. The paintwork itself is in good order and has had some recent work done to it to bring it back to the showroom shine. All of the body panels line-up well and are free from dents or serious scratches. The current owner has done a full detailed valet, including removing the interior, and carrying out a clay-bar clean with a HD wax. The car remains free from any corrosion, with all of the plastic trim, including the front and rear bumpers, being in good order with no scuffs or unsightly damage. All of the original factory windows remain, beside the wind-screen which has been replaced, with the VW logo to be found printed in the corners.

CCW described the interior as 'so well preserved and incredibly clean that it's outstanding'. The supportive grey cloth seats (with red weave in the centre section) are in excellent condition with none of the usual sagging or bolster wear to be found. The rear seats are also in fine order. There are no cracks or sun damage to be found across the dashboard. The steering wheel, gear-knob and handbrake show minimal signs of wear. The black carpets are clean and tidy throughout with the foot-wells having been protected with original VW over-mats. The head-lining and door-cards are also in superb condition. Recent work in 2014 includes replacement of all linkages and bushes on the gear selector system. Recent work in 2014 includes a new cam-belt, alternator, water pump, battery, ball-joints, track-rod ends, plus a full engine and braking system overhaul. Full restoration of the original BBS wheels; all new brakes, brake pipes and backing plates plus new tyres.
