2019 Porsche Panamera V6

When Porsche first announced its plan to produce an SUV, enthusiasts were horrified. Still, the German sports car manufacturer was right, and the Cayenne soared to the top of the company’s sales charts. Fast-forward to 2010, and witness the hue and cry over Porsche’s new Panamera. Four doors on a sports car? Indeed, and Porsche was right again, with the Panamera more than holding its own against its two-door brethren. Now, for 2011, the Panamera adds a new twist. 19,160 that those extras would have cost when the car was in my hands. 4,220 for its 20-inch sport wheels. Make no mistake: at 300 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, the V6 is worthy of its badge. It’s mated exclusively to a PDK transmission - Porsche Doppelkupplungsgetriebe, if you want to impress your friends - a dual-clutch gearbox that clips up or down its seven speeds with lightning-fast precision. Paddle shifters for manual mode are provided on the three-spoke steering wheel.

Like the Cayenne, the Panamera includes an auto start-stop function, which shuts off the engine at idle such as at a traffic light. It’s similar to the way a hybrid operates, except that a heavy-duty starter gets the pistons moving again, rather than an electric motor as in a hybrid. There’s a jolting rumble when it starts again, but overall the system works well and can be turned off via a switch if you prefer spewing emissions when not needed. What I really like about the system is that when you’re in stop-and-go traffic, the engine will shut off, come on while you crawl forward a few car lengths, and then shut off once you grind to a halt again. Officially, the Panamera is rated at 12.9 L/100 km (22 mpg Imp) in the city and 8.3 (34) on the highway. In combined driving, and taking every opportunity to enjoy the car’s sporty nature, I averaged 12.6 (22). I did note one oddity about the engine, however, in what amounts to an electronic dipstick. A couple of days after receiving the car, its message centre displayed a warning that the oil level was low. After a thorough search of the engine failed to turn up any yellow handles, a trip into the owner’s manual revealed that you must depend on that message centre, since there’s no physical stick for checking the oil. Determining that a litre was enough involved driving the car for a short bit until the message centre gave the all-clear.

If the vehicle is equipped with a navigation system - and the MMI operator control that comes with it - a fourth engine map is provided, which the driver can program to suit. Audi drive select is only available in combination with one or more of three additional technologies - the differential, the adaptive shock absorber control, and dynamic steering. Its superposition gear varies the gear ratio by nearly 100 percent as a function of the driving speed. The dynamic steering operates directly in city traffic. In highway driving it uses a more indirect ratio. To maximize driving safety, it cooperates closely with the ESP stabilization program - at the handling limits it keeps the Audi A5 Cabriolet on course by lightning-fast small interactions. Further highlights are the two infotainment systems MMI navigation and MMI navigation plus - members of an entirely new equipment generation. Even the lesser model includes navigation imaging featuring 3D color graphics, a versatile reader for memory cards, and a DVD drive. Optionally available from Audi is a module for digital radio reception, a Bluetooth interface for the mobile phone, and an interface for full integration of the iPod.

Cut-off Saw Cutting Metal With SparksThe top version comes with exclusive technologies: an especially high-definition monitor, a big hard drive for music files and addresses, plus a special joystick function for the MMI control unit. With refinements such as a Bang & Olufsen sound system or a digital TV tuner, the MMI navigation plus can be turned into a high-end media center. The innovative assistant systems from the luxury class make driving in the Audi A5 Cabriolet even more supremely relaxed. Audi optionally equips its open-top four-seater with high-tech solutions including adaptive cruise control, Audi side assist and Audi lane assist. They control the distance from the vehicle in front and assist in staying in lane or in changing lanes. The luxury-class Audi parking system advanced uses a rearview camera to display the area behind the vehicle on the onboard monitor. The top-of-the-line model of the new Cabriolet production series from Audi is the S5 Cabriolet. The letter "S" stands for Sport - for dynamics, performance and power, but also for amazing efficiency. The Audi S5 Cabriolet's engine is a newly developed, supercharged, three-liter V6. Diverse design features contribute to a distinctively sporty styling, including modifications at the lower front and back panels, at the air intakes and at the tailpipes. In the interior, special seat upholstery, door sill trims and inlays in matt brushed aluminum underscore the high-quality, dynamic style of the high-end model. The pointers of the instruments are illuminated white to contrast with the gray scales.

2019 Volkswagen E-Golf Costs Up To $1,550 More Than Before

Previewed by the Golf blue-e-motion concept in 2010, the e-Golf was unveiled in 2013 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Even though it’s based on the Modularer Querbaukasten like any other Golf from the seventh generation, the electric hatchback never managed to raise the hype. For starters, Nissan was already the leader of the segment with the Leaf in 2013. The Japanese electric hatchback continues to be hugely popular all around the world, leaving Volkswagen with a stiff upper lip. Given these circumstances, the German automaker poured a lot of money into the MEB and ID., the first nameplate to be based on the EV-only platform. As we’re waiting for the ID. November 2019, care to guess what Volkswagen did to the e-Golf in America? 1,550 more in the case of the SEL Premium. 1,400 compared to the previous year. On the upside, this difference adds DC Fast Charging as standard. 995 to the suggested retail price. 650 and adding automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, as well as adaptive cruise control with stop and go. Move on up to the SEL Premium, and the package comes at no cost to the customer along with parking assistance and high beams. Electric range stands put at 124 miles, making the e-Golf a lousy contender to the Nissan Leaf’s throne. 30,885, the Japanese interloper is EPA-rated 150 miles from a 40-kWh battery. As for the e-Golf, it can’t do better than 35.8 kWh from a T-shaped battery pack. Care to guess how much a lease on the 2019 e-Golf will set you back in Los Angeles? 421 per month) is more appealing considering the 238-mile range from the 60-kWh battery, rendering the e-Golf obsolete.

E-drive systems are a challenge. Electric drive systems present a challenge in relation to acoustics. The reason for this is that as a result of the absence of any internal combustion engine very different sources of noise become noticeable. In addition, the scarcely perceptible and yet very specific background noise of the drive system is joined by the sounds and vibrations of the electrically powered auxiliary components. Last but not least, without any fine tuning, wind and rolling sounds are much more noticeable in electric vehicles, as they are in luxury cars. As quiet as a luxury car. Against this background Volkswagen implemented an acoustic concept for the e-Golf that is specifically tailored to the characteristics of an electric vehicle, making the zero-emission car into an almost silent cruiser. A few examples: the powerplant suspension system was switched to a pendulum mount with modified response characteristics, which despite the e-motor's high build-up of torque when accelerating greatly enhances the acoustics.

Through the design of the motor housing unit Volkswagen was also able to achieve an extremely low level of noise emission. First Volkswagen with all-LED headlights. Visually the unique, always four-door e-Golf can be recognised even from a distance by its especially energy-efficient all-LED headlights, being used here as a world first. Compared to xenon headlights the LED system produces more light despite consuming less power. From now on, an identifying feature of Volkswagen electric cars will be the C-shaped designer signature of the LED daytime running lights in the redesigned front bumper. At the rear, the latest Golf can be made out as a zero-emission car by such features as the absence of any exhaust pipes. In addition appropriate model name markings and the VW logo with a blue background also show that the e-Golf is a zero-emission vehicle. Also standard on the car's exterior, as mentioned above, are LED rear lights and the aerodynamically perfectly balanced 16-inch alloy wheels with 205 tyres optimised for low rolling resistance.

Exclusive standard equipment. In addition to the specific fabric design (seats in the 'Merlin e-grey / Clip titanium black' pattern; optionally leather) and the extremely good level of standard equipment (incl. Golf include the new instrument layout and the touchscreen in the centre console, which is also equipped with new functions. In line with the exterior, the interior is also enhanced by blue elements, including the decorative seams of the leather steering wheel and gear knob, plus the floor-mat edgings. Power display replaces rev counter. Touchscreen. Every Golf is equipped with a touchscreen. In the case of the e-Golf it is the range's premium display, the top 'Discover Pro' radio/navigation system's 8-inch touchscreen. In the e-Golf the system now shows numerous new functions. Example 1 - Range monitor: this provides a graphic illustration of the vehicle's current range. The range potential of any auxiliary consumers is also displayed, as by switching off the consumer units shown to be on, the driver can gain extra range. Example 2 - Energy flow indicator: by means of animated graphics this depicts the energy flow when accelerating (blue arrows) and when applying the brake that involves regenerative braking (green arrows).

Meanwhile, regenerative braking statistics provide information on the amount of energy recovered since the start of the journey. Example 3 - e-manager: this enables drivers to pre-programme up to three departure and charging times. At the defined time the vehicle ensures the set air conditioning and battery charge level. The heating or cooling of the interior can also be activated via parking heater/ventilation (fitted as standard) during the charging process. The air conditioning process thus does not have any effect on the charging of the battery which extends the range. Example 4 - 360° range: the current radius of the e-Golf is shown by the so-called 360° range on the map of the surrounding area. The inner area represents the potential zone for a return trip. The outer area, on the other hand, represents the range for a one-way journey. Charging stations can be displayed and integrated into the route as intermediary destinations. Volkswagen Car-Net e-Remote. Using the 'Car-Net e-Remote' app it is also possible to make many settings and information requests via a smartphone or the Car-Net website.

That very same object within the arms of a villain just like the Taskmaster (if you don’t know who he is, let me know and I’ll do a write up with 4 different obscure characters) becomes an object of worry and destruction. The Taskmaster can use the shield every bit pretty much as good as Cap - however where would he sling that shield and who would it harm? When we take a look at these objects we should always look at them in the identical respect that any object within the palms of a skilled practitioner can be utilized as a weapon. When in combat with someone utilizing a weapon, your job is to take the weapon away. In the palms of a villain, it's his energy and he’ll run. In the hands of a hero, it is a instrument and he’ll struggle on. Be on the lookout for these power objects once you learn your Marvel tales. Not all of the facility objects within the Marvel Universe are used for evil. The Book of Vishanti, almost by definition, cannot be deliberately used for evil.

The e book is the largest repository for all of the great, white magic on this dimension. It is written in several completely different languages and is blessed by the extra dimensional triad known as “the Vishanti”. The Vishanti grant energy on mystical practitioners that they see as worthy - like Doctor Strange. The counterpart to the Book of Vishanti, the repository of benevolent white magic, is The Darkhold, the ultimate e book of evil black magic. The Darkhold was created by the demon, Chthon. Originally, he created it to be a touchstone to this dimension. It's, in each sense, a factor of evil. It is the Necronomicon of the Marvel Universe. The use and possession of this e-book has been known to corrupt the wielder unless he has taken proper precautions and has significant energy of character to resist its influence. The life of The Darkhold spans all the best way back to the Hyborean Age of Conan, Red Sonja, and King Kull as well as the pre-cataclysmic continent of Atlantis.

It's answerable for the creation (and destruction) of the vampires in the Marvel Universe and has additionally been identified to confer cases of lycanthropy upon readers. While there have been scores of redeemers that have attempted to tame and examine the evil throughout the Darkhold, only a few have been profitable sufficient to review the ebook unscathed. Instant godhood - That’s what a cosmic cube can create. It actually can change actuality. The holder of a cosmic cube needs solely to think of what he needs and it occurs. People recently have develop into acquainted with a cosmic cube as being a energy source and an object of destruction originating from Asgard. This energy object was used as a weapon by the Red Skull in Captain America, The primary Avenger. The cube is more powerful than what Hollywood could dream up. The cube received its most play when it fell into the hands of Thanos. Thanos used the cube to make himself into a god. When he seemingly abandoned the cube, giving the impression that he’d absorbed the power into himself, it was an illusion.

It was Captain Marvel who was able to get the cube and restore the universe with his cosmic awareness as a template. What the cosmic cube truly is, for lack of a greater time period, is an egg. Events similar to those that happened within Aim happened on the Skrull homeworld, creating the creature identified as the Shaper of Worlds. The creatures that begin as cosmic cubes are susceptible and are molded by the forces that wield them. Therefore, the Shaper of Worlds has a very Skrull-like appearance as a result of his thoughts and body have been merchandise of the Skrulls that held it. The scary thing is that we know that the being that the earth’s cosmic cube turned was influenced not solely by the Red Skull and Thanos but also by Captain Marvel and Captain America. Apparently, despite the Skull’s evil, the cube was more impacted by Captain America’s nobility and power of character.
