white 07of12.jpg English: 1963 Studebaker Avanti, a four-seat personal-luxury coupe. This car is equipped with the standard "R-1" 289 cu in (4.7 L) 240 hpA detailed study of various market leaders has been conducted and opportunity analyses have been provided in the report. The car door latch market is anticipated to grow at a CAGR of 5.80%, during the forecast period. Increasing safety and security concerns with regard to automotive closure systems have led to developments in automotive latches, which fall under the closure system segment. As per the Global New Car Assessment Program, automotive door latches with a central locking systems, anti-theft devices, electric child safety features, power cinching, or electric release functions are preferable. OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers are inclined towards lightweight solutions for various automotive components, which include composite materials and aluminum to achieve better fuel economy. Volkswagen AG (Germany) introduced a new modular body design on its 2013 Golf model. 82258051 The fastest growing market for car door latches is the Asia-Pacific market, which holds the majority of the market share of the global automotive latch market, by value and volume.

The market share for side door latches is the largest and is growing at a CAGR mentioned in the report, during the forecast period. The per vehicle usage of side door latches is the highest at 4, compared to 1 to 2 for other latch types such as tail gate, hood, and seat, per vehicle. Hence, the side door latch market has the largest market share. The passenger vehicle segment is growing at the highest CAGR as mentioned in the report, during the forecast period. Additionally, an increasing trend of extended cab type light commercial vehicles (LCV) has also helped the automotive latch market grow, as they have four side doors against the two in standard LCVs. The global car door latch market is dominated by many international as well as domestic players, such as Kiekert AG (Germany), Magna International, Inc. (U.S.), Strattec Security Co. (U.S.), U-Shin Ltd. Shivani Locks Pvt. Ltd. Minda VAST Access Systems Pvt.

The Touareg also features "hill hold control", which is like ABS in reverse: the system will apply the brakes to all wheels when you take your foot off the accelerator when you drive up a hill. Monitoring the traction of each wheel, the system progressively releases each wheel as you take off again, ensuring you don't lose any ground on those gravely bush tracks. The V10 variant also gains keyless entry, a la the Lexus LS430. The driver simply walks up to the car, grabs the handle, whispers "open sesame!" (kidding), and the door opens. Starting the car is as simple as thumbing the big START button inside. Inside, up to five occupants are treated to four-zone climate control, a television and CD-stacker and comfy leather seating. The driver also gets to be in charge of the whole thing, grip the leather-and-wood steering wheel and exercise their right leg. The Touareg I drove had about 22,000 journalist kilometres on its clock and, I must say, I wonder about the longevity of some of the switchgear and surfaces in this car. Although journalist kays are about twice as hard as ownership kilometres, I experienced some noticeable groans from the chassis under acceleration, and one of the stereo's gazillion speakers had been pushed up into the roof by an errant finger. A quick check on the 'Net didn't reveal that this problem was universal, so maybe it was just this particular car. Sounds too good to be true? Well, it sort of is. 140,000 isn't that much when you consider all the good things this car does, many will be intimidated by the cost of admission. Sure, it's a lot of money, but those heading to the Range Rover dealership should seriously consider testing the Touareg and comparing notes. It's a twin-turbo V10! Comments on the review?

It favors sending most of the engine's torque to the rear wheels, great for handling, but it changes instantly when wheels at one end of the car start to slip. This is a good system for bad weather. You wouldn't know that you're inside an SUV in the BMW X5. Rather, the cabin is appointed and designed like BMW's sedans. Materials are first-rate, and fit and finish are top quality, with controls that work well with minimal slop and maximum precision. This is equal in the benchmark standard to the Lexus, Infiniti and Mercedes SUVs. Our test X5 had the optional Sport Package seats, and our passengers complained of exiting the front seats and hitting the side bolsters. We understand that spirited driving requires coddling the driver in a stationary position, but not many of us sporting drivers can wring out a car with a full load of spectators. In fact, most passengers prefer we drive like grandmas, so we see little benefit to locking in passengers into their chairs as tightly as the driver.

Rear-seat passengers report to us that the cushioning of the rear seats is soft on the road, and very comfortable. The extra length not only adds some cargo ability, but the rear seats are adults sized, we found. A third row of seats is optional, raising capacity to seven people, most of them adults. BMW claims adults up to five-feet, four-inches tall will be comfortable. Visibility is compromised by the thick D-pillars of the longer body, which means you have to slowly exit parking lots, though it doesn't seem a big giveaway in exchange for the trim styling. The surface upholstery feels luxurious, and the perforated seats kept us feeling fresh after a three-hour drive without stops. The optional active driver's seat is like a Sharper Image massaging lounge chair, and it really keeps your back in shape on drives longer than three hours. The climate controls are able to be used separate from the devilish iDrive system, which means you can immediately set them for cooling and heating. When accessed through the iDrive system, you need an instructor and a two-credit college course to master the best use of the system.

Car Depreciation: The Cars That Hold Their Value Best

When you buy a new car, you don't need a calculator to know that depreciation will set in as soon as you drive it off a dealer's forecourt. In fact, if you're buying a car on finance, then depreciation is an important factor, because the amount of money the car is worth at the end of the finance agreement determines how much you pay per month. In simple terms, depreciation is the amount of money that a car loses over its lifetime. Place new car depreciation in a graph, and the line will start at a high point and slowly fall over time. What you want is for the line to stay as high as possible for as long as possible, so that the amount of money you lose once you do come to sell is low. Unless you're buying a desirable classic or a limited-run performance car from an established manufacturer, then the car you buy will suffer from depreciation. It's just a fact of life, as a car that has been used by a previous owner isn't as attractive as a brand-new one.

However, there are cars out there that limit your losses, and we've listed the best performers below. There are companies that work out a car's depreciation using a number of factors, but they will usually work out a car's value after three years. This irons out any initial spikes in desirability as a new car comes to market, and gives a good indication of how much a car will be worth over the lifetime of a finance deal. A car's depreciation is worked out as a percentage of its new price, while car valuation firms have reams of data that allow them to set a depreciation percentage for individual models. This data is shared with manufacturers to help them determine how much buyers will pay on a monthly basis when taking out finance on a brand-new car. The main factor that determines a car's depreciation rate is its demand. If a car is in high demand, then that will help keep used values high, as buyers are willing to pay extra to get behind the wheel of a popular model.

Take a look at the SUVs and 4x4s for sale in the UK, and you'll see how depreciation works. Compare an SUV with a hatchback or a saloon from the same manufacturer on a like-for-like basis, and you'll see that the SUV usually has retained a higher percentage of its original value. That's because buyers are attracted by the rugged looks and tall driving position that an SUV or crossover offers. It's not just SUVs that are the best cars for avoiding depreciation, you can also cut your losses by choosing a desirable sports car, although the market can be a little more fickle with these machines. If you're flush with cash, then a high-end sports car or supercar can also be considered, although if you're looking to buy one of these, then depreciation is unlikely to be a deciding factor when parting with your cash. For our list of the best cars for depreciation for sale in the UK, we've given an average of the entire model range after three years and 60,000 miles. So while these scores are already good, they could be even better if you pick the slowest depreciating model in the line-up.

Once considered the ugly duckling of the Porsche range, the Panamera can now lay claim to being the slowest car in the line-up when it comes to depreciation. A score of 63.4 per cent on an average list price of around £93,254 means a loss of £34,642 after three years and 60,000 miles. What's even more impressive is that this score is for an executive model in a class that doesn't normally excel for depreciation. But clearly the Panamera's combination of rapid performance, sharp handling, practicality and the attractive low running costs of the plug-in hybrid models clearly puts it a step ahead of its rivals. One area of the new car market that consistently performs well is the camper van sector, and the VW California is the best performer of all. The California is based on the VW T6 Transporter van, so it comes with modern engines and a car-like driving experience, which further adds to its appeal.

2019 Volkswagen Tiguan

:: 주문제작 :: 폭스바겐 파샤트cc 스마트키 케이스 - smartkey case - 가죽공예/수제가죽케이스 - 블로그Volkswagen is showing the new Tiguan in a world premiere at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt. This "small brother" of the Touareg can be recommended to all those car drivers who enjoy the individual visual appearance and versatility of a SUV, but also expect a premium level of comfort, agility and variability. Its chassis sets new standards in the world of SUVs, because i t is extremely driving-active and safe. All five engines - for the first time on the global SUV market all engines are charged without exception - already deliver, powerful propulsion just above the idling speed. Very intentionally, Tiguan - offered in the equipment versions Trend&Fun, Sport&Style and Track&Field - is being offered in two body variants: The Trend&Fun and Sport&Style versions were specifically designed for primarily on-road use. Their agile, safe and highly comfortable driving behaviors are equal to those of a car. At the same time, these Tiguans do not shy away from either off-road drives or trailer loads.

They leave the really rock-tough off-road routes to the Tiguan Track&Field. The Tiguan Track&Field was specially designed for life off of the asphalted trails. Different than the Trend&Fun and Sport&Style versions, this especially adventure-friendly Tiguan exhibits a more extreme entry angle (28 instead of 18 degrees; maximum angle without the vehicle impacting the trail in front). As standard equipment the Tiguan Track&Field also has a newly developed off-road mode that awakens an entire armada of assistance systems to make drives off-road especially safe. As already outlines, the Tiguan is the first SUV in the world to be offered exclusively with charged engines. The advantage of engine charging: More power, less fuel consumption and lower emissions. Take the example of the gasoline engines: There will be three new TSIs - direct injection engines with turbocharging or turbocharging plus supercharging. The four cylinders deliver 110 kW / 150 PS, 125 kW / 170 PS and 147 kW / 200 PS. Take the example of the diesel: A completely redeveloped generation of noticeably quieter common rail four cylinder engines is being employed here.

The two TDIs output 103 kW / 140 PS and 125 kW / 170 PS and smash the Euro-5 emissions standard. Full-time all-wheel drive is absolutely essential off-road. On paved streets an intelligent all-wheel drive also improves active safety. In the Tiguan the latest generation of 4MOTION all-wheel drive is used. It is shifted by manual, or optionally automatic, six-speed transmissions. Both transmissions satisfy special off-road requirements. The manual transmission can be driven at an engine speed of 1,000 rpm or vehicle speed of just 6.69 km/h, for example; this practically equals the crawler gear of a reduction gearbox. The automatic transmission has gear level preselect; in off-road use it prevents shifting to the next higher gear. The Tiguan is an all-round talent. This characterization not only describes its powertrain properties, but also the multivariable and very spacious interior. The rear bench seat is split with a 60:40 ratio, it can be adjusted 16 centimeters in the longitudinal direction, and the rear seatback has multiple tilt adjustment settings.

Volkswagen Golf - WikipediaThis provides either more legroom in the rear or additional space in the cargo area. Available as an option is a double cargo f loor including cargo management system. Also standard on the Tiguan Track&Field and Sport&Style is a folding front passenger seat so that very long objects can be stowed. With regard to the seat position, the passengers travel exceptionally comfortably, not only in front but also in the rear. The reason: Similar to the case in a movie theater, rear passenger seating is a bit higher and therefore more relaxed. On board an SUV for the first time is the Park Assist feature, with which the Tiguan turns into a parking space nearly automatically and impressively. The off-road mode already mentioned is a technology show; no other SUV in the world can call upon such a network of safety systems off-road at the press of a button. The Tiguan also exhibits its mastery when it comes to trailer load: It may range up to 2,500 kilograms, which is handled by the new, swiveling trailer hitch. In a class by themselves are the touchscreen radio and navigation systems; the top model (RNS 510) offers a standard 30 gigabyte hard disk memory, an off-road navigation mode and rearview camera. Any of the passengers can also look through a panorama sunroof at the sky of the savannah or the city.

Exploring Factors That Influence Battery Consumption

Volkswagen Golf V R32 2005 - Car Review - Honest JohnBattery electric vehicles (BEVs) are becoming increasingly popular, showing annual sales growth, yet adoption is still limited. Maximizing distance driven between charges can improve user perceptions and usability of BEVs. Therefore, the ability to identify factors that influence a BEV's state of charge (SOC) in a naturalistic, experimental environment contribute to accomplishing transit sustainability. This study explores whether BEV drivers’ use of five different energy regenerative braking modes, in conjunction with other potential influencing factors (e.g., trunk load), make a significant difference on the SOC. Using a randomized 3-factor factorial design, two drivers traveled the same path 20 times each, exceeding 160 miles each, for over 320 total miles of experimentation in a 2015 Volkswagen (VW) e-Golf. Significant differences were found between regenerative braking settings and the 3-way interactions between driver, load, and setting. Additional analysis suggests that only two regenerative braking settings (i.e., low regenerative braking and high regenerative braking) are actually required in addition to traditional braking, as the SOC does not change between all four regenerative braking settings. Furthermore, a posteriori, it was found that external temperature played a significant role in the SOC. Future research should focus on empirically detailing these differences between BEV drivers and SOC, validating and improving theoretically or simulation derived contexts. Ultimately, in an effort to transition society to a BEV future, this research seeks to harness patterns that affect a BEV’s range, in order to maximize traveling distance between charges, to help reduce the threshold of user adoption.
