Hypnosis – 4. Simple Tips To Formulate Suggestions For Success In Life

What is a Suggestion? A suggestion is a process of communication of thoughts, ideas or beliefs within ourselves or with others. With Self Hypnosis we can program or install positive suggestions to develop positive attitude for improved health, wealth and happiness. How do we formulate suggestions? Easy to remember & Simple: The suggestion we formulate need to be short, crisp and easy to remember. Too long and complex suggestion should be avoided. For self hypnosis one sentence or a maximum of 3 short, easy, sentences are better. For example “Im happy”, “I am relaxed “ “I am feeling better”. 2 Always remember, All Hypnotic Suggestions MUST be specific without being rigid. For example look at this sentence – “I want to make more money”. Now this suggestion is too vague – I want to make more money? 50,000 by the end of this year”. If you look at the difference, you are specific with the money you want to make and you are also specific with the time frame.

This is because the sub conscious mind takes the suggestions literally and does not reason at all. For example if I suggest “Dont look at the black cat”, what Im suggesting? The black cat obviously. Did you find what mistake he was doing? His suggestion was “I am counting a lot of money”. His suggestion was wrong and, thus he ultimately ended up as a cashier counting others money in the bank. So always be specific with what you want and formulate suggestions accordingly. 3 Formulating Suggestions in a positive way is another important. Avoid “I cant, I will, I never”. The first one is obviously a wrongly formulated negative suggestion. Whereas, the second one is a more positively formulated suggestion. 4 After being SPECIFIC and POSITIVE, another important part in formulating suggestion is to stay in present tense. Avoid saying “I was good”, “I was successful”. Instead say “I am good”, I am successful”. If you follow these 3 simple tips and formulate suggestions in your life, you will be more and more healthy, wealthy and happy and successful. Now using the above formula, formulate your own suggestions according to your requirements and practice to get the desired results. Some amazing exercises and test can be learned here instantly and very easily. How to secretly hypnotize anybody and make them do what you want?

When is a Volkswagen really a Porsche? Technically never, but you can get close in a vehicle like the 2017 Volkswagen Touareg we suspect has irked Porsche dealers for a long time. Introduced in 2004 as VW’s first foray into the SUV segment, the Touareg was notable for sharing its underpinnings with the Porsche Cayenne. The Touareg has never offered the same range of high-performance drivetrain options that Porsche shoppers enjoyed, but it has always driven a lot like a basic Cayenne at a more affordable price. Touareg’s interior is lovely and spacious with wide front seats, some of the most comfortable (heated) rear seats I’ve plopped myself into in some time, and handsome saddle-brown leather that’s a no-cost option in Execline trim. 65,460 vehicle; at that price, I would have liked to see a few more upscale touches such as a stitched dash. The materials in here are fine, but the Lexus RX’s interior is sharper, and nowhere near as polarizing as its exterior. Volkswagen has managed to squeeze some modern technology into this aging platform: adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking are standard as of the mid-range Wolfsburg model, which also gets a hands-free tailgate.

Until late 2015, the Touareg was rare in its class for offering a diesel engine. That said, the eight-speed transmission’s tightly-spaced gear ratios do a good job of managing the gas engine’s power, but if you want anything resembling lively throttle response, move the shift lever to sport mode. The diesel’s fuel economy was another nice plus; this gas-powered model posted average fuel consumption of 15.9 L/100 km in a week of driving, while a 2014 TDI version I tested averaged about 12.0 L/100 km. Despite the Touareg’s age, it still goes over the road with a competent feel, but we’d be more surprised if it didn’t: the ride is firm but, ironically, felt more compliant the worse the road surface was. That understated competence has always been a strong Touareg selling point, so as VW dealers begin discounting this outgoing model to make room for the forthcoming Atlas, don’t dismiss it as a lame duck. Rather, take advantage of the deal to get a nice SUV you can tell your friends is really a Porsche underneath.

VW Golf Blue E-motion: The Most Credible Electric Car So Far?

The motor is fuelled by a 180-cell lithium ion battery pack, mounted in the transmission tunnel, under the rear seat and beneath the boot floor. It gives the car a range of 150km, or 93 miles. You’re going to hear this more and more when it comes to electric vehicles, but here goes: extremely normal. Stick the single-speed transmission in D, apply a modest amount of throttle and the Golf eases away with just a little whine from the electric motor. That instant torque is never far away, mind; the front wheels will happily light up if you apply full throttle in the hottest mode - and it doesn’t feel 205kg heavier than a regular Golf. The car has three power profiles that control the output of the electric motor. ’ limits power to 50kW and turns off the air conditioning system. The selected mode is visible in the Golf’s multifunction display between the instrument dials. A kickdown function does provide the full power if called upon, incidentally; it’s a safety feature.

Beyond D on the gearshift there’s B; this setting increases the amount of energy that’s harnessed when the car is coasting. Use the gearstick and it goes into its most aggressive setting; if you’re aiming for a smooth cruise you’ll barely need to use the brake pedal at all, such is the effect of the kinetic energy recuperation. Two paddles behind the steering wheel also allow you to select two more modest settings. VW has worked hard to integrate the electric systems into a normal fascia. Apart from the multifunction display, the sat-nav screen also shows battery levels - and in future versions it will even warn you if plotted routes are beyond the car’s range. Should I buy one? Easy answer to this one: no, because you can’t. But VW is ramping up electric car development and it plans to start selling the technology in serious numbers in 2013, via this car, a Jetta and an electric version of the forthcoming Up microcar. Pricing will be important, of course. Speed of charging and infrastructure still need a lot of work. And even VW sources admit that electric vehicles like this will probably be bought as second cars; their range, though fine for many commutes, is still too limited for them to be the only set of wheels on your driveway.

There is a wide storage compartment hidden under the centre armrest that can be adjusted by up to 100 mm in length and five stages in height. This compartment is also of a good size. More space over its length. Despite all of its sportiness, the Golf GTI is more than just a sports car; it is an all-round talent. And that describes the seventh generation GTI as well. This would make the Golf GTI a good choice as a business car for any day of the year. Background: larger body dimensions in overall length and width, a larger wheelbase, optimised track widths and MQB-modified package all have a positive effect on comfort. The GTI interior is now 14 mm longer (1,750 mm), for example. In the rear seating area of the optional four-door Golf GTI, passengers enjoy 15 mm more leg room. In front, shoulder room has increased by 31 mm to 1,420 mm, and elbow room has now gone up by 22 mm to a width of 1,469 mm.

In the rear seating area, shoulder room was also improved by an additional 31 mm and elbow width by 20 mm. In addition, the rear seat bench folds and has a 60:40 split. When folded, a nearly level cargo floor is created with a length of 1,558 mm. From the Comfortline, the Golf can also be equipped with a cargo opening at the middle of the rear backrest. The successfully implemented space concept of the new Golf exhibits many other improvements as well. Cargo capacity, for example, has grown by 30 litres to 380 litres; the variable cargo floor can also be lowered by 100 mm. Perfection in the details: the load sill to the bootspace is now just 655 mm high - the best value in the core segment. In parallel, the maximum bootspace width has grown by 228 mm to 1,272 mm. Volkswagen has also increased the width of the bootspace opening by 47 mm to 1,023 mm. Like all six Golf GTI generations before it, the seventh generation is distinguished from other Golf models by numerous additional equipment features and classic GTI insignia.

Colours and wheels. The production colours Red (“Tornado Red”) and “Black” as well as “Pure White” have been typical for the Golf GTI since its beginning days. Volkswagen has further developed its standard “Denver” GTI wheels. Their styling characteristics flowed into the design of the new machine-polished 17-inch “Brooklyn” alloy wheels that replace them. The new wheels have a lighter visual look and are in fact lighter in weight. The wheels are fitted with size 225/45 tyres. In addition, the new 18-inch “Austin” alloy wheels and 19-inch alloy wheels in “Santiago” design are available as options. The car with the golf ball. Along with its many standard features such as air conditioning, Driver Alert system and the Composition Touch radio system, numerous GTI features refine the interior. They include the customised leather sport steering wheel and a special gear shift grip. The latter is once again reminiscent of a golf ball, which also makes it a tribute to the first GTI just like the new leather-trimmed steering wheel design. The sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel with its three metal spokes and trim in high-gloss black has a lightweight look, and it is remarkably handy and easy to grip.

We're thankful for that, and other things that the kids would love is the easy access from the dual sliding doors and for the LS variants, easy access to the third row thanks to the standard captains chairs. RS models can seat 10 with three per row and the succeeding rows are bench seats. The gearshift is located in the center dash, thus freeing space in front. While the first two rows admits everyone, the third row and the jump seats for the RS are for kids only and those who have skills in gymnastics. Driving safety took a leap in the mid-1990's when Electronic Stability Control was introduced. Bosch, a German auto supplier, first developed the system with the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7-series. Electronic Stability Control, or ESC, is the use of speed sensors on each wheel and the ability to brake those individual wheels. ESC adds a unit that helps monitor steering wheel angles and rotation around the vehicles vertical axis. If the vehicle starts to travel in a direction that is different than the indicated steering wheel position then the ESC will brake the appropriate wheel to help the driver maintain control. Simply put, a well-designed ESC system will substantially reduce the chances that you lose control of your car under most operating conditions. ESC systems are particularly helpful in preventing loss of control which results in vehicle rollovers and for preventing loss of control while driving on slippery surfaces. Many companies have renamed their ESC systems. Ford named it Advance Trac, Audi calls it Electronic Stability Program, GM named it Stabilitrak, and Porsche branded it Porsche Stability Management.

Sometimes it can be confusing when requesting it on a vehicle, but all of these systems work the same way. Over time, ESC has become more sophisticated and less costly. Many people now request ESC when purchasing a vehicle. In an analysis by the European Accident Causation Survey found that in 18% of all injury crashes and 34% of all fatal crashes, ESC would have reduced the likelihood of the crash or prevented it all together. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety said that equipping vehicles with stability control can reduce the risk of rollovers by more than 70% and prevent as many as 9,000 fatal crashes per year. By 2010, 85% of all vehicles had ESC. Significant reductions have been seen in single and multiple vehicle crashes when vehicles are equipped with ESC. The government now requires ESC on all passenger vehicles made in 2012 and later. Because ESC works seamlessly with antilock brake systems and traction control, these features will become a standard across all segments, even the low cost models. Although this is a great step towards better driving safety, many people still purchase or have purchased used cars without ESC.

Convert Your SUV Into A Hydrogen Hybrid

If you drive a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV), your biggest expenses now would be your weekly gasoline bill. SUV is well known for its notorious appetite to consume fuel. This is unavoidable due to its weight and large engine capacity. Some SUV owners have decided to trade in their prized vehicle for a more fuel economy sedan. For those who choose to keep their cars, this article will share some SUV gasoline saving tips. In order to improve the fuel mileage of SUV, it can be converted into a hydrogen hybrid. A hydrogen hybrid car is a vehicle that uses both conventional gasoline and hydrogen gas (H2) as energy source. H2 is chosen for its potency and high burning rate. To modify a SUV to run on hydrogen gas, an electrolysis device would have to be installed next to the engine. The purpose of the electrolysis device is to extract H2 from water. This is possible because water is made from 2 molecules of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen thus its name H2O.

DSC02417.JPG

For a Sport Utility Vehicle to run on water, the hydrogen gas has to be released into the engine air intake system. When the vehicle is moving, it will suck the H2 into the combustion chambers and combined with gasoline vapor. The gas mixture in the engine will produce a much large explosion thus generating more power. When a SUV is burning the same amount of fuel and achieving a high power level, it has a potential to travel further hence improving its gas mileage. It is a proven fact that a hydrogen hybrid SUV is much cheaper to run. As and added benefit for the environment, the water for fuel system is a clean technology because the only by product is pure water vapor released into the exhaust pipe. Would you like to know how to create your own SUV Water To Fuel Conversion Kit? The system has been proven to save up to 57% on fuel and can double the gas mileage of a vehicle.

WOLFSBURG : October 30, 2008 - Volkswagen AG hasn’t raced in its first Baja 1000 yet, but it already is promising to do better the next time around. Motorsports Director Kris Nissen is realistic about the auto maker’s chances in its first go-around at the Baja 1000 race next month but vows 2009 will be a different story. VW will unveil its specially built Touareg TDI Baja racer at the Los Angeles auto show Nov. 19 before heading off for the Nov. 20-23 event, which starts and finishes in Ensenada, Mexico. The racecar is powered by the same 5.5L V-12 turbodiesel used in the Audi R10 Le Mans racecar. It generates 550 hp and 627 lb.-ft. “We don’t expect to win the first race,” Nissen says here at a media backgrounder on VW’s expansive racing program. “It’s a new vehicle, with rear-wheel drive; a heavier vehicle. Although it is outspent on racing by sister Audi AG, Nissen says he believes VW has built over the past four decades the auto industry’s most expansive racing program.

In addition to this year’s entry in the Baja 1000, VW races in the Dakar Rally Series, 24-Hours of Nurburgring, the Formula 3 Euro Series and the Formula ADAC Masters. It also operates its own racing circuits, such as the Polo Cup in Germany and Jetta TDI Cup in the U.S., in eight countries worldwide and is looking to continue expanding into new markets. “Our goal is to have national cups in as many countries as possible,” Nissen says. The Cup programs give young drivers a chance to race VW-provided vehicles at relatively low investment costs. 35,000 per season, with VW providing the track-prepped Jetta TDI sedans, maintenance and training. Drivers are responsible only for their helmets and travel expenses. 150,000 if he is signed to a professional contract within six months of the final race. Next year’s Jetta TDI Cup already has drawn interest from more than 1,000 potential drivers, and VW has yet to officially solicit applications. The eventual list will be culled to 100 who will be invited to a Sonoma, CA, track to select the circuit’s 30 drivers. These will be judged not only on their driving abilities but also for their media-friendly skills and how well they would handle other off-track duties. For now, VW is getting ready for the Dakar Rally, which Nissen says is the auto maker’s No.1 racing program. Slated for Jan. 3-18, the 5,600-mile (9,000-km) race starts and ends in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with about 90% of it run over sandy terrain and under the most extreme conditions. VW is entering the race with the Touareg 2, powered by a 5-cyl. turbodiesel generating 280 hp and 443 lb.-ft. It features a 5-speed manual transmission and permanent 4-wheel drive.

Though the Asian SUV invasion has snagged huge swaths of the American SUV market with high-caliber compact crossovers and three-row juggernauts, I’m sitting in a German engineered leather La-Z-Boy and smiling. While critics and parents continue to fawn over modern machines like Mazda’s latest CX-9 (and rightly so), there’s still an often overlooked and criminally underrated SUV out there serving as a shining example of what brought us to this point. The Volkswagen Touareg is by no means a fresh piece of engineering, but it still stands strong as a solid piece of automobilia in today’s modern world. Is it going to cause you to put down your coffee and approach it in the parking lot for closer inspection like the aforementioned Mazda might? Probably not. But you will love driving one when the miles seem to stretch on for what seems like eternity. When looking the Touareg over, it’s obvious right away that this is a VW.

So among these you won’t find the grumpy-but-eventually-grateful chap who doesn’t like spinach-colored breakfast, for instance. Or the young fellow who narrates The Butter Battle Book. Or the boy who encounters (with sister Sally) the Cat in the Hat (nor, for that matter, the uber-responsible goldfish who lives with them). But it’s not always about the name. Sometimes it’s all about the appearance (for instance, Thing One and Thing Two). Often it’s the attitude—hello, Grinch. Usually, it’s a combination of all three. 1. Sure, there’s a creepy factor—destroying kids’ houses when mom’s not home, risking the lives of goldfish, eating cake in the bathtub—but there’s always satisfaction in the end. A pachyderm paragon of persistence, savior of a speck of dust, an egg-sitter so dedicated that the embryonic life form takes on his appearance. He is a be-trunked example of how nothing trumps the simple notion of doing the right thing.

On the other hand… “It could be that his head wasn't screwed on quite right. It could be, perhaps, that his shoes were too tight. The whimsical yet profound voice of environmentalism—“He was shortish. And oldish. And brownish. He’s relentless and relentlessly optimistic, recruiting foxes and boxes and goats and boats all in an effort to get one curmudgeon to realize you never know until you try. A soft-hearted moose with hard-hearted guests, as he allows a host of animals to live in his horns before learning the limits of hospitality (and growing a backbone, too). The Star-Belly Sneetches and their Plain-Belly counterparts are a typically whimsical Seussian allegory for the haves and the have-nots, the illusion of entitlement, and the arbitrariness of self-importance. Perhaps. But by showing the Sneetches the error of their ways, he deserves a Nobel Peace Prize (or a Seuss version of such—some sort of Peace-arrific Medal).

He makes the Grinch look positively life-affirming. This fellow chops down the first Truffula Tree, destroys the whole forest, extinguishes ecosystems, and then tells the story—if you’re willing to pay fifteen cents, a nail, and the shell of a great-great-great grandfather snail. But he’s redeemed (sort of) in the end with a final Truffula Seed. A poor boy whose inability to remove his hat is a metaphor rich with message—nobody need take his hat off for anybody. Plus he comes home with 500 gold pieces. And in the sequel, he saves the kingdom. Like most folks in power, he thinks he should have more. Ruler of all he can see? Why keep it to a small pond? The poor turtle at the bottom of King Yertle’s stack of turtles. He decided he couldn’t take it anymore. Revolution via a simple burp. “Poor Zooie got so awfully mad. So mad he could have spit.

But he did a far, far braver thing… He simply yelled, “I QUIT! Living, breathing creatures—some Odd, some Spookish, some Nowhere Hunches—of oft-contradictory suggestions. One boy with an expansive imagination—“Marco, keep your eyelids up. Guy won’t leave. Until he wants to. On one side of the wall, the Zooks eat their bread with the butter side down. The Yooks do the opposite. They are bread-spread allegories for cross-cultural ignorance. As classmates like Butch Stroodel and Einstein Van Tass (and teacher Miss Sneetcher and principal Gregory Grumm and Finch the Florist and Finagle the Agent) notice, she grows a daisy from her noggin. In the end, though, to save her all you need is love. They’re a tandem, of course—a reckless, indoor-kite-flying, not-cleaning-up-after-themselves tandem. Hardly. This two-year-old with a heart of gold simply asks, “Why? A hard-working ruler who gets up early to make sure the kingdom is running smoothly. He also likes to play hard, racing around the palace atop red stilts.

My First Car

I think your first car is similar to a first love. You never ever forget it. I will never forget the feeling of finally passing my driving test. I had been having lessons for over a year and taken my test twice already. My driving instructor was confident I would pass each time but my nerves always got the better of me. Finally I had cracked it and it was time to find myself a car. I decided to Second Hand Cars Canterbury visit my local car dealer and see what they had to offer. I had a limited budget, a very limited budget. 500 to be precise. I did not expect anything spectacular but wanted something safe and not too bashed up. I found "her". A wonderfully old Volkswagen Polo. She was white. I don't know why I called her "she" but I always did. In fact sometimes I called her Annie, derived from the letters on the registration plate.

Inside she had a red carpet with grey interior seats. The car had been used by a young girl, who had travelled in it to clean her horses at the nearby farm and consequently there was a faint smell of horse muck in the car. It was nothing that an air-freshener could not fix and to be honest it did not really matter as this car was the one thing I had craved for a long time - freedom. I drove far and wide in this car and she served me well. We drove south to visit friends on Hayling Island. We even went on the car ferry over to the Isle of Wight on a day trip. We had a journey to Edinburgh and I even navigated the city centre of London in her. When I finally decided to part exchange my car for a new one, I was indeed very sad. I presumed that they would simply scrap the car as it was of no significant value. However only a short time ago a friend called me to say that she had seen the very same car being driven by an old man in our village.

More noticeable is the regenerative braking in “B” mode: then, the e-Golf is aggressive in shedding speed when you lift off the accelerator, to the point where you can feasibly one-pedal drive without tapping the brake most of the time. In regular “D” mode there’s far less regenerative braking, unlike in the Nissan. You need a certain mindset to get into the swing of electric car ownership. Personally, when I’m driving a gasoline or diesel powered car, I tend to start thinking about refueling when the dashboard range estimate dips into double-digits. Thing is, it doesn’t take much driving of the Leaf before you get to that point, while the e-Golf starts out under 100 miles anyway. Both companies provide a regular charger in the trunk from which you can rejuice each car from a standard 120V outlet. You have to factor in a long time off the road if you’re relying on that, however. Even with those convenience features, I found I was constantly aware of how much power I had left while out in both cars.

The specter of running out of charge at the side of the road - further away from an outlet than any extension cord could reach - was enough to leave me obsessive about watching the power gages. On the plus side, it does make you aware of how you drive and whether that’s economically or otherwise. Stepping back into gasoline cars, I couldn’t help but think about all that energy squandered during braking, which the e-Golf or Leaf would be eagerly gobbling up. Fluctuations in estimated range, though, did cause a few cold sweats. Part of the problem is that there’s no taking into account changes in elevation, which can have a huge impact on how much power is used. I’m a fairly extreme example, since I live at the top of a relatively high hill: the Leaf, for instance, could end up gaining 20-30 miles of estimated range simply during my mostly-coasting trip down the hill. However, taking the same roughly four miles of twisting road back up to the top could easily knock 30 miles from the Leaf’s estimate.

How To Position Your Product (And Own A Place In The Consumers Mind)

Depending on who you talk to, positioning is a marketing phrase that has many different meanings to many different marketers. I define positioning as how the customer maps your product in their minds versus comparable products that are available to them. Let me explain this further. Status symbol/luxury: Mercedes Benz/Lexus Serious Driver: BMW Serious sport: Porsche Safety: Volvo Family: Holden or Ford (6 cylinder) Affordable: Toyota Affordable European: Volkswagen Cheap: Hyundai Hoon: Anything with holes cut in its bonnet, big mag wheels and noisy mufflers. Of course, it's not quite as simplistic as this map. We can add other variables to create a "position" for ourselves. Those variables might include gender, age, location, personal aspirations, budget and so on. For example, in Australia women like to drive a hatchback (like a VW Golf), since it's easy to load shopping in the boot (or trunk if you're in America). Let's also look at how easy it is to damage your positioning and to illustrate, I'm going to use one of my favourite current examples, McDonalds.

What is McDonalds to the average person? Well it used to be a hamburger place; and that's how we all saw it in our minds. This was very powerful for McDonalds because hamburgers were a popular takeout food and McDonalds was the first large scale hamburger joint and "owned" the position in our minds. When you thought hamburgers - you thought McDonalds. The marketing department of McDonalds reinforced this perception to us too - through television and other media. We got it - and we attributed McDonalds with the ownership of "hamburgers". It was powerful because consumers don't like to think too much about anything - and when you are powerful like McDonalds and "own" the spot in the consumers mind, you make it easy for the consumer. They just know what you do and you become the place to go. Here in Australia, McDonalds is changing itself - one would think in response to the growing negative perceptions of the quality of the food and general community concerns about obesity.

So it has recently released "deli rolls". But hey, says the consumer, isn't that Subway? And it has chicken nuggets on the menu. Hey, isn't that KFC? And some of their outlets have a McCafe selling coffees and muffins. Hey, isn't that Starbucks? To ask the consumer to think about your brand and to ask them to make quantum leap shifts in their perceptions of your brand (so carefully nurtured by you over all those years) is a huge ask. From the hamburger place to the everything place; from a kids place to a place for grownups; from a "junk" food perception to telling us they are healthy? McDonalds is in serious trouble. Its consumers aren't going to get this. The three steps to create and communicate a position. 1. First think about your product attributes. When you are creating positioning for your product, you need to start by think through the attributes of the product (car attributes include safety, durability, speed, comfort and so on). The best way to identify what is the most important attribute is to ask questions of potential buyers.

What do customers think of your product? What is the most important attribute to them? What would compel or persuade them to buy your product over an alternative? 2. Choose the attribute that's best for your product. But, if you are not the first product in the category, different rules apply. The rule of the follower is to do the opposite of the leader in order to provide the consumer with a genuine alternative. It's a very rare opportunity that you can copy your competitors and win. 3. Now tell the world Finally, having a position is half the battle. The other half is how to communicate that position with consumers. All brands/products must have a personality. The elements of a personality include its name, packaging, price, its advertising and what it does and where it is bought. Its personality ultimately becomes its image. Once chosen, every element of your brand needs to be consistent with your chosen image. Everything must be consistent (and stay that way) so avoid the temptation of changing your brand image regularly - you'll only confuse your customers. As you roll out any promotional activities, every piece of promotion should reinforce this brand image. If it doesn't, it shouldn't be released or approved by you. If you are the first in the product category, your positioning should include a leadership statement.

Enjoy your visit(s) here! The BMW 507 was another idea from the man who single-handedly made the small Volkswagen Beetle a huge yet unexpected success in America: Max Hoffmann. BMW having nothing more to offer in the U.S. 501 and 502 models during the early Fifties, Hoffmann insistently requested a more appealing model for this particular market. BMW had increasing financial difficulties at the time and finally accepted, seeing its salvation in the potential American sales. The Bavarian company answered the call with not just one, but two new models: the elegant 503 coupe and convertible, and the striking 507 roadster. Both cars had been penned by Albrecht von Goertz. Apart from its stylish body, the 507 tried to make good use of as many parts as possible from the existing BMW models, in order to keep production costs relatively low. Still, it was deemed necessary to enlarge the 2.6-litre light-alloy V8 engine on hand to 3.2-litre in order to reach the level of performance expected from such a car. Fed by two Solex carburettors, it was rated at 150 hp, propelling the 507 at 200 kph. Alas, despite all the efforts from BMW’s engineers, the cost per unit of this wonderful automobile somehow got out of control. Simple, even perhaps crude as Motor Max knows as to produce die-casts, but this time at least, it’s quite well assembled. One last remark: the windshield appears somewhat tall. Finally, this die-cast has been offered by M-Smart, which actually got its hands on a stock on unsold Del Prado press models. It is very well made for the price, accurate and fitted with good-looking wheels - only the headlights could have been much better.
